I could probably come if somebody could pick me up in DC, and take me back to DC after.
You're in luck, I'm in the area. You should come out to Rockville for some CQB sometime.

I'd totally come do some cqb with you for a weekend if you can provide a bed though. $30-40 round trip on a bus isnt bad, and i really want to do some travelling.
I live about 4 hours away in Monroe. Might save up to go for this one, dunno about carpooling though.
You're in Monroe? Damn, I was just there all day. I'm jealous of you, Monroe has amazing pizza (Big Mikes specifically)
You're in Monroe? Damn, I was just there all day. I'm jealous of you, Monroe has amazing pizza (Big Mikes specifically)
The K&C pizzeria is just a few blocks away from me, I check my pizza privilege daily though so its ok.
This is gonna be fucking swag. If I can get my LCT Good2go I'll be there, somehow, someway. Want to do babby Kath's first big IFAP outing. I ALSO CALL ROUND TRIP SHOTGUN FOR DEATHMOGS CAR I AINT GETTING MY BRAINS RATTLED
I'm in Warwick and the only worth while pizzeria we have is Benito's.
So I registered today on Facepunch because of other stuff, but I randomly came across this thread. I'm 20 minutes out of Penn Yan. I'll have to buy a new gun, but I'm psyched for this.

So i had this question in my head for a awhile. What team are we joining?
Neato, we're an odd bunch but we bring the fire.
Awesome. Funny enough, this'll actually be my first time on a legitimate airsoft field. Only other times have been small skirmishes at my parents' campsite outside of Potter.
So i had this question in my head for a awhile. What team are we joining?
Science team and whichever team the science team is allied with, which should be known closer to the game's date. If we end up having a whole bunch of us we'll probably need to split up, with one contingent forming the science team and the other forming a squad on the allied team. This is just for the day portion- when night falls everyone joins together. Also, Markius, you are more than welcome to join us, just look for the guys in white and you can be sure it's us. Last year we had a total newbie as well, and the year before it was my first airsoft game. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, last year's team:

If you guys don't mind, I could try advertising it to some local friends of mine as well.
Dude go ahead, we're not running the Op, we're just attending. Also, if you bring your friends, you can hang with them if you won't want to hang with us.
Awesome, I look forward to it. If you guys don't mind, I could try advertising it to some local friends of mine as well.
The more the merrier. Seriously. I don't know how closely we'll all be working when we're actually on the field but it is hands-down my favorite airsoft event and if you're close to the field it is absolutely worth the price.

I know of at least one airsoft fanatic who's been wanting to participate in something like this for a couple of years now. We'll definitely keep an eye out for you guys though. Even if we're put separate ways, there's still dinner and the night event.
So a quick update; I spread the word, and so far I've got three other people interested in this game. We'r all gonna meet up the morning of the OP and carpool over to Penn Yan. We'll be at the field at about 9:00.
Everything is set on my end to getting to HVA. Everything else is Stabby / Deathmog / Code / whoevers driving.
So, I'm throwing this out there for clarification on how the scientist team works and so on: Can we run as a PMC squad protecting the scentists? Me, Kath, Herf, Wulf, Doug and maybe Stabby and anyone else who wants to join want to roll with Ravenwood International: Dynamic Defense and Security kits and be contractors. Black polos, khaki pants and plate carriers with matching hats and patches.

You can definitely RP as those guys and wear normal kit over Tyvecs though (hats, patches, PCs, etc) [editline]e[/editline] if you have any questions please post them here and Ill forward them to the guys running the OP, and will post answers here.
This doesn't necessarily have to do with the OP, but I noticed on Black Ops Airsoft's website that part of the requirements include a kill rag and a medic band. I've only done backyard airsoft and such, so I've never heard of these before. Couldn't really find much info online either. Would someone kindly elaborate?
Where does one get a white tyvec suit?
tyvecs only? Lab coats are a no as well? As in like slacks a tie and a lab coat scientist getup
tyvecs only? Lab coats are a no as well? As in like slacks a tie and a lab coat scientist getup
Thatd probably be cool if you wanted to be a scientist as opposed to a security guy

They could be on whichever team is allied with the science team, which last year was tan IIRC. Tan pants and tan shemaghs would probably be enough I'd think. The kill rag is held up or stuck on your head to indicate that you're dead, and the medic band allows you to be medic'd back in (medic band tied around your arm with the velcro) by a teammate when you're hit, and then if you're hit a second time you go back to respawn.
Where does one get a white tyvec suit?
Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. Don't bring your own, we'll probably buy them the morning of, they're dirt cheap.
tyvecs only? Lab coats are a no as well? As in like slacks a tie and a lab coat scientist getup
Honestly I think that would be kosher. Last year the science team wasn't issued any special identification at all, we decided to go get the Tyveks ourselves to keep consistent with previous years. Don't go making plans because they change stuff every year. Edit: The scientist/science security distinction was new to last year's game, remember. There's no telling how it'll work this year, so some clarification would be good.

I'll try to find a place to buy them from.
Alright, thank you. I'll try to find a place to buy them from.
They're sold at the field for a buck apiece.
MAJOR UPDATE: This game is NOT taking place on the 12th, it will likely be on the 19th. edit the OP catbutt
