Also its more flexible on when, so we can save up a bit longer and be better prepared, and I can have a job and a driver's license by then.

I have work that saturday, and it'd be far more feasible for me to do the camping. I'd love to go to HC5, but I've already tried to get those days off and got all but the 19th off.

as it is, this trip is going to cost me over $300 for a one day op, when the day portion is just force on force. Even if the night time part is really cool, its too much money for something like this. I really want to go up north have a big IFAP meet up, but its just too expensive and I'm scrounging for money as it is.

I'm still like 3-5k short on a new truck, and I just started a new job. Unlikely I will be able to find a ride and take the time off for a day long force on force game.

Is this the part where our plans fall apart and no one goes?

Your best bet is some surplus / cheap ESS goggles and a brassguard, in my opinion. I have an extra brassguard somewhere so I could let you use that, and ESS / Revision goggles can be had for cheap on eBay.

Some have ballistic outserts. All restrict your vision, restrict your breathing, and most importantly make it virtually impossible for you to talk to other people. And it probably won't save any money over a cheap brassguard and goggles, to be honest. What you COULD do if you already have a pair of goggles is go to your local Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace, or other hardware store and get a paint respirator. Open the filters, dump out the charcoal, reassemble, spray black or leave as-is- same functionality as a brassguard, except unlike a gas mask you can still breathe through it, and it keeps your goggles totally separate. That's what I've used since I started airsofting and it works great. Edit: Why can't you wear your beret?

I forgot that paying for gas money is a typical courtesy. FUCK. I got paid this Friday but I've got to get my truck squared away, pay back a loan, get a board and keep enough of it to sustain myself for two weeks. As it is I'm visiting my Dad because I ran out of food and I knew if I stayed the night he'd get me dinner for free. That's my survival strategy till Friday.
