Also, does it work online? If so how do you plan on restricting it, like can everybody do it on any server?
You know what I love to do but am also good at? Dancing. When do I get opprotunities to dance? Almost never. If this is available in mutiplayer, I think I just might cry out of happiness. [sp]Make it happen Garry[/sp]
Unfortunate that the fingers dont move along with your actual finger movements.
I don't think the kinect can handle fingers at all. Too small to track unless the hand covers the entire camera. :v:
gamestop sells used kinects for $85
and thus kinect sales flew up in the sky
best thing is knowing that garry was actually doing those moves
Hey how do I do this? I installed all the shit but how do I get it to work in game?
If somebody imports some STALKER models I bet there will be servers full of people sat around campfires, just waiting.
fucken mint gazza
Awwww at the ragdolls and music :3
Aren't there Kinects for just PC use that are better than the XBOX Kinects?
Oh god this creeps me out because of that CorridorDigital video
best thing is knowing that garry was actually doing those moves
Just imagine Garry standing in his home/office/undergound nuclear bunker/whatever, pretending to wave a cinderblock on a string in his hand. Bonus points if you imagine him wearing the same gormless expression as the ragdoll.
Not to be the 'no fun' guy here, but I dont think that it will be that responcive for dancing. You have to spin a lot when you dance and duck and, well, kinect doesn't take kindly to that.

I can't wait to see people apply thrusters to themselves in real life.
I literally just plugged my kinect in and am now re-installing Gmod. I know the feature isn't in yet but still.

Kinect + Oculus Rift = Gmod becomes first civilian VR game world.
Maybe we could design a rock em sock em kind of boxing game.

Looks REALLY good. Just the walking looks a bit floaty.
Looks REALLY good. Just the walking looks a bit floaty.
iirc it only detects your legs, arm, torso and head, I don't think feet is supported (?)
I got the camera view in game as a texture.. so you can show it on screen with a convar :) [vid]http://puu.sh/1vgvf[/vid]
I can allready see fat people strip teasing as alyx.
is it possible to animate player models with the kinect, now just ragdolls?
I really want to see you pick up an object by squeezing it between your hands, or putting your arms through / under it.
