I personally hate stuff like that. I would rather have buttons I could press with my hand whenever I wanted over moving my leg forward slightly to walk forward in the game, any damn day or night.
one of the reasons why first person kinect games on xbox blow ass is because there aren't physical buttons, you have to turn your shoulder in awkward positions to look around and you have to move your legs around like a silly willy to walk forward/sprint.
