I've been led to believe that youtube red money is split between every partnered channel, in proportion to their sub count. So if you pay youtube red, most of your money doesn't go to the small channels you watch regularly that need support, most f it goes to the biggest channels that you don't watch and aren't having ad revenue problems. [editline]Youtube Red is a fucking scam.[/editline] Doesn't even matter anyway, Youtube Red isn't even available in the UK.
that's not how it works, youtube red views pay the creator just like a regular non-adblocked view
If they're charging does that mean they're gunna start listening to design critiques from the audience and creators?

This is a dumpster fire, not an intentional controlled burn. Google is being silent because at least it's still working. I don't think most exacs have an understanding of why their services are popular and that's really scary.

Had Red come out in 2011-2013 it might've been more successful, but currently, they just can't get the momentum they need. Look at how successful Twitch has been, and they were early adopters of those techniques.
