The logic behind that must have been similar to Imperial Guardsmen:"If we shoot enough in their general direction,one of the hundreds of bullets will eventually hit them!"

Or maybe they were just didn't know shit about how to efectively use a gun/couldn't be bothered.

You know,now that I think about it,if alot of people there played CoD,they'd know how to shoot better(ie:you don't hit shit unless you actually aim).
