Wow, if everyone made fun of you because of your acne, then you have dense/no friends.
Heh. I went to see The Room at the Prince Charles Cinema like last week.
People were throwing things at me in the street calling me a 'spotty cunt' and that really fucking hurt. The words, not the shit they threw. They threw paper mostly.
Where in the fuck do you live? [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
What the fuck kind of place do you live in where people will actually throw shit at you because of acne?
Oops.
What's the difference between accutane and roaccutane? I'm confused.
Congrats on losing the acne, but to be honest acne has never stopped people I have seen, it always boils down to a combination of their actions and personalities. I feel it is really shallow if you think acne is the only cause for any kind of social hardships you faced. I am also happy for your confidence, and you should keep that confidence, but please do not label yourself a smooth talking pimp because one of your best friends said it. That is like your mom calling you a smooth talking pimp, it has no credibility and was just an off hand compliment.

It was quoted for irony. It's a stupid phrase. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
Where in the fuck do you live?
As answered before. A shit town which even Ricky Gervais mocks on his stand up and said it's 'full of white trash'. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
Heh. i had such bad acne, some people are real dickheads and judge you on it , but you dont really want to know them anyway. None of the people in my classes or who actually talked to me brought it up. The way i got rid of mine was the drug which really did help a lot but also smoothies of vegetables. i would have carrots, blueberries, blackcurrants, broccoli, strawberries, apple, orange, raspberries. you really couldn't taste the carrots its mostly just tasted like blackcurrant and apple. that really helped my face. as well as more sunlight. Try not to use some of the stronger creams for acne i regret using them because they just make your skin so damn dry , its more of a temporary fix rather then getting to the root of the problem.
What's the difference between accutane and roaccutane? I'm confused.
Accutane is the trade name for Roaccutane iirc.
if you cleaned your face a couple of times a day acne should go away eventually. [editline]22nd February 2012[/editline] with WATER
i wash my face with dr pepper every day and i am bad face but this advice has changed my life"!!!!
My brother had horrible acne and accutane got rid of it for good. However a friend of mine is a lawyer who represented a girl who went blind after taking accutane for a week. So I'll take my chances with acne. [editline]23rd February 2012[/editline]
I'm 17 years old and I've never had actual acne, just the odd zit here and there. Guess I'm lucky :v:
Or you'll be like me and have no acne at all until you hit 19 and then you look like you just started puberty
You got to meet Picard, Tommy Wiseau, AND Greg Sestero all while turning yourself into a smooth-talking pimp. You are now my idol.
What day? We went the Sunday night. It was fucking surreal.
9:30pm. Was awesome.
in the first picture it kinda looks like you're faking the smile and about to cry
I've been on accutane for nearly 5 months now. I had been trying to deal with my moderate-severe acne for years, actually. Most of it was on my back, but some of it was on my face, as well. I'm entirely clear of acne now, and the scars are fading, as well. My doctor had been suggesting a ton of things and they didn't work too well, so I finally went to a dermatologist, who prescribed it. He said it's not nearly as bad as the booklet thingie says, which warns about severe liver failure and other crazy things, although you do have to be careful about injuries as accutane makes you bleed quite a bit more, as well as pregnancy if you're a woman. The biggest inconvenience, besides the incredibly dry skin (seriously I need to use a lot of lip balm and moisturizer and shit) is the blood tests that he has me do every month, so they can monitor my liver, as the liver failure IS a side effect, even if a very rare one. Also, some people got stomach cramps and whatnot, but I'm lucking out. The great thing about accutane IMO is that the treatment is cumulative. As the OP said, a man weighing 100Kg is going to need 60 mg over 6 months, but if his stomach can't handle it, he can easily go 30mg for a year and get the same effect. Also, people who have been on accutane usually don't experience acne ever again, which is another awesome thing.
Can you actually grow out of this permanent acne stage of life though? I was considering just growing a beard so I didn't have to keep washing my face with cream but then I'd have to clean a beard.
Then you would look like a dirty homeless.
Been off for about a week now.
Are you going through Accutane withdraws now?
I never had acne.
I went on it and I've been off for around 2 months, but let's just say I didn't get on it soon enough. :( It worked at least. Also, the fucked up lips were so god-damned embarrassing. I wish hypertrophic scars were looked at seriously because if you've got bad scars on your chest or somewhere else then you're not going to be able to take your shirt off in public. They need to be treatable everywhere affordable damnit. I don't give a damn if it's purely cosmetic, looks matter.
9:30pm. Was awesome.
Sweet we were there together <3 Brothers now.
Wow, if everyone made fun of you because of your acne, then you have dense/no friends.
Boosts confidence. Same with working out. Though you're kind of right. My ex had some visible acne, as much as OP in the first pic with Picard, but I didn't really give a shit or saw them unless she mentioned it. Even though nobody else complained or talked about her acne, she was insecure about it and was less confident at times. Nobody really gives a shit about your acne, just know that you're healthy and clean and then be confident about yourself.
I have way worse acne than OP had and I don't give a shit about it 90% of the time unless there is a mirror in the vicinity.
Good for you for getting rid of acne, although it didn't look that bad, atleast not bad as I had NSFW: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/8832/snapshot201012292.jpg
For any people thinking about taking Accutane, don't. Really; do NOT take it. I took it, it cleared my acne in like 3 weeks, but the thing is it changes your hormones and causes your body not to 'secrete' properly. As a result of this crap, I developed intestinal problems and a whole lot of other bullshit. My GP said, 'Stay away from that stuff, it's not a good idea' when he diagnosed me. 'Looking good' is not worth it, the only thing that will properly 'cure' acne is loads of sweating and water. Don't take it, don't take it, don't take it. If you are adamant to take it, get your blood tested for potential problems that you might get with Accutane. DO NOT go out on a limb like me.
External application is still the best, imo

I had gone through every other treatment until the GP decided that he had to refer me to a dedicated dermatologist, who then decided that it was causing mental issues (I was really bad) and physical pain whilst resisting all other treatments. Also, you are meant to have blood tests every other week when on it, at least in the UK, including a preliminary one beforehand to ensure your body is up for it, don't know what's happened in your case. As for "the only thing that will properly cure acne is loads of sweating and water." is not true, I drink 2-3 litres of water and tea every day, have for as long as I've lived, and they most certainly did nothing. Neither did sweating, I tried exercise and saunas, steam rooms e.t.c, nope. It's not as simple as blocked pores that cause it.
Coming from a guy who had acne, my main tip for those who have it is just keep oil off your skin... Anti-spot (whatever its called) facewash can dry your skin out like fuck so just use regular hand-wash every now and again whenever you feel your face getting too greasy. I know acne isn't caused by greasy skin, but trust me this DOES help.
I don't have that many spots and I'm using Clean & Clear, just trying to find something that will keep them down for good instead of an outbreak every other week... probably doesn't help if im drinking alcohol, eating fast food and having low amounts of sleep at least once or twice a week.
I have way worse acne than you and I'm ass ugly. Namby Pamby.
you fucking met patrick stewart and tommy wiseau
hm?
