You know the only thing I hate about the DC movies is that they're not tying these movies into the established tv show canons they have now with Supergirl, Arrow, and Flash
gotta say the clinking of the bullets dropping matching the music for that 1.5 seconds of air was a neat nice touch

Mildly optimistic. Has lots of potential.
It's a comic book movie guys, lighten up
Funny how you get showered with boxes for saying the truth. It's a comic book movie, not a Citizen Kane reboot.
I really don't like Harley. She comes across as less of Harley Quin and more like that one girl in your High School that was "crazy" for attention. It parallels the design choice of making Joker a "crazy" person by literally having 'Damaged' tattoo on his forehead. Crazy people are crazy because of their actions- not how cringey and shoehorny of lengths they go to remind you how crazy they are. I just don't know. I'll give it a shot but not going into this optimistically.
Harley Quinn looks terrible, not even remotely close to Harley. Didn't they say that Joker wasn't going to have that ~Damaged~ tattoo?
Harley Quinn looks terrible, not even remotely close to Harley. Didn't they say that Joker wasn't going to have that ~Damaged~ tattoo?
Yeah, and they lied.
Looks much better now. Looking forward!
Didn't they say that Joker wasn't going to have that ~Damaged~ tattoo?
that was damage control because when that picture came out everyone made fun of it
Yeah, and they lied.
Did anyone actually believe them?
Man I thought it was cool. It was extremely cheesy but I appreciate that they're not trying to take it super serious and make some Nolan-type movie. It looks like a fun summer movie lads.
Damn so dark im really worried for the state of their mental health guys :(
Wow. I didn't think a trailer could make me even less hyped for this movie but lo and behold, it just did. I don't know what kind of reaction Harley's 'funny' quips are supposed to evoke from the audience but I'm pretty sure 'rolling my eyes and groaning' is pretty far from it.
Why do the outfits look so cheap? It's more like Suicide Squad cosplay than what I'd expect from a multi-million dollar budget.
Exactly what I was thinking. Diablo and Boomerang are both wearing jackets that literally have their own names emblazoned on them. Harley is just wearing ripped up clothing covered in Joker references. Croc looks like a SMB goomba in a crocodile skin jacket. Deadshot's rangefinder is on the wrong eye. I'm still going to go see it, but it's strange that most of the costumes look like they were thrown together for comic con.

Having poor acting, awful plot, bad character design, and low quality in general isn't something that should be a staple of comic book films. We've had plenty of good ones, so there's DEFINITELY no excuse. Shut this ridiculous mindset down already [editline]20th January 2016[/editline] Harley and joker look like theyre deviantart edgelord oc characters "TEEHEE VOICES JK BUT ACTUALLY VOICES"
I like this a lot more than the first trailer, or anything I've seen of Batman V Superman so far. I'm glad they're not taking this too seriously, which fits the nature of some of these characters. I'll take wacky and cheesy over "Superman destroys Metropolis and everyone fucking dies" any day.
I will never get over how shit that Joker looks, he looks like one of the jobber goons that works for the Joker that immediately gets their legs broken by batman
i can get past the joker bullshit but that harley quinn is cheesy. the acting and looks especially. i'm betting the people who made this trailer had giving her a spotlight in mind mostly because she was probably the most boring and predictable character of them all and had no real relevance towards the plot, other than being a part of the crew.
No matter how bad or good this movie does it won't change these simple facts. 1. Marvel owns the cinematic Stage 2. DC owns the Animated Stage 3. DC currently owns the TV stage (depending hw DDs2 Luke Cage and all the oher Defender TV series go)
Look like it'll be a great film....to buy as soon as it hits DVD really tho I actually do wanna see this, but it doesn't look worth movie theater price
I actually really enjoyed the trailer and I want to see the movie now, I mean it's not going to be this serious amazing movie or anything that'll blow my mind but I think it looks like it'll be fun and I'll enjoy it. I even like the Joker in this. Sure he looks a little bad because of the tattoos, but the way he talks and acts looks like it'll be great. Also I can't be the only one that thinks that Harley is acting that way on purpose right? She seems to be actually more sane than she lets on (atleast from what I can tell) and is simply fucking with everyone. You see her actually serious when she says 'jump' in the car and her voice and tone is completely different. Not to mention her last line in the trailer about being bad guys sounds like she's mocking them "Oh yknow we do this because we're soooo bad". Iunno, all I know is I'll definitely see this when it's out. Edit: Also I get the feeling Harley is only in jail because of Joker really, since her cell seems to be nicer and she's not doing anything, unlike the others, playing into the "she's actually normal but is just playing the part"
Although I absolutely hate the designs the two trailers they released so far actually made me want to see it. It's like the opposite of BvS movie, love the costumes of the main 3 but the plot seems like a mess.
Leto's joker still looks obnoxious and slightly retarded. Doesn't interest me that much, looks stale.
It looks like a commercial for a high budget show finale that you know exists, and know has some fans, but couldn't compete with the big boys and is relegated to some shitty network and the first time you watched an episode you didn't like it. You know, like Gotham.
yeah, i'll probably enjoy it more than that bvs shlock but i've also enjoyed terminator genisys more than jurassic world and both of them were pretty awful movies
at least this movie doesnt look like its trying to take itself seriously unlike bvs which just comes off hilarious
The Dark Knight Returns was pretty dark and took itself seriously and was fucking amazing. I'm still excited for BvS.
Facepunch makes me sad when I come to DC threads. I just wish you weren't all marveldrones :wavey:
Facepunch makes me sad when I come to DC threads. I just wish you weren't all marveldrones :wavey:
Batman is literally the only good thing about DC comics. Everything else sucks.
Facepunch makes me sad when I come to DC threads. I just wish you weren't all marveldrones :wavey:
A lot of Marvel's recent films have been meh.

When it comes to film there's sort of two camps - artistically valuable films and economically valuable films. Some films dip into both, some films fully exude one or the other. Think transformers vs. Birdman. Saying it's just a comic book movie is just illustrating that this movie is basically just a bit of a cash grab in one of the most commercially productive time for superhero movies. There is little expectation that these films be good simply because of how reliant they are on their IP.
