A lot of Marvel's recent films have been meh.
That's entirely subjective and many people would disagree with you. Ant man was awesome.
DC let my hopes up, then killed said hopes with TRAILERS
Really? I thought it wasnt too bad, better than expected (though I was expecting crap)
If they keep this as a dark comedy type and dont try to take it particularly serious it could be ok
I likeit because it's far less serious than the other DC trailers.
Wow. I didn't think a trailer could make me even less hyped for this movie but lo and behold, it just did.
I don't know what kind of reaction Harley's 'funny' quips are supposed to evoke from the audience but I'm pretty sure 'rolling my eyes and groaning' is pretty far from it.
Did you actually do that?
Facepunch makes me sad when I come to DC threads. I just wish you weren't all marveldrones :wavey:
FP has exaggerated expectations about movies most of the time and are always full of knee-jerk reactions, all these superhero movies are looking great, most likely will be enjoyable to watch
Whoops, I thought Will Smith was gonna be Deathstroke, not Deadshot. That's a fair bit of my interest in this one gone.
Really wanted to see him as confident aged badass, not annoying and vaguely capable guy person.
Killer Croc looks terribad.
Harley and joker look like theyre deviantart edgelord oc characters

but shes just crazy! (get your "i'm just CRAZY :3" shirt at hot topic right now for only 9.99)

That and Guardians of the Galaxy. But the rest is pretty meh in recent years.
I think I'm getting too old for this shit.
All of these, Marvel or DC just make me go "ugh".
The only recent superhero movie I liked was Antman and even there I hated the actual "hero" parts of him fighting the "villains" and enjoyed him just getting in trouble with everyday shit like the bathtub.
The good vs bad or "bad good" vs bad thing is just so ... immature.

Marvel started out with stinkers but let's be real in that with Guardians and Antman existing this just is no comparison right now.

I will grant you that having character actually refer to themselves or each other as "Good guys" or "Bad guys" is one of the cringiest things a movie can do.

It's not just the referring.
The wish for easy categorizing people and things into good or bad that is basically expressed in the whole superhero thing is starting to look just..childish to me.
That's essentially the whole basis of superheroes and supervillains though, moral ambiguity defeats the point of what they're going for. Usually anything with a hero and a villain works the same way. It's not immature or childish, it's just not for you.
Wow... you guys are hard to please. I think this looks fantastic. I haven't been this excited for a DC movie since Dark Knight Rises. Jared Leto looks like he really got into playing the Joker and the rest of the cast look decent as well. I can't remember the last time I've seen this much color in a DC movie either.
My only critique for this trailer is I think they should have used a different song. Bohemian Rhapsody is too integrated into pop-culture and it detracted from the energy of the trailer.
Don't like Harley or Joker, but everything else seemed alright. Probably gonna see it with friends when it comes out.
If Harley/joker weren't thrown in, then this movie could actually be something unique. That's why I liked the Arrow show's depiction of the Suicide Squad.

Thanks for sharing your refined tastes
theres an eastwood hidden in the trailer
What's the name of that black guy?
[editline]20th January 2016[/editline]
Oh right: "Whythefuckamihere".
[SP]I'm gonna watch it[/SP]
Harley's performance feels terrible, but Joker's is alright. The rest of the characters seem good, but I feel like they're gonna focus on Harley and Joker, just because they're the ones who will bring the most audiences in and have the most "personality" spread in the promotional footage. That scares me. I hope the rest of the characters can pull their own weight (and are allowed to pull that weight by the writers.)

What if I don't give a shit about DC or Marvel?
Lets bring on the Image Comic movies.

I don't like Marvel or DC. Unpopular opinion: They're overrated milked shit (atleast 90%)
I like Joker so far, even his design has grown on me. Excited to see Leto.
Though the costumes of the rest of the characters are fucking atrocious, they all look so cheap and cosplay-ish. What's up with the whole "steet-gang member" style?
I just don't understand how WB made from making DC adaptations like

and BTAS and the Nolanverse to...whatever this batch of movies is.
Superman Returns may have flunked but nobody can deny that they 100% nailed the action scenes. Why not build from that success?
Because there was no success in it and a lot of people, like myself, really found that film boring and other than the original first 2 Superman films with Reeves and the first 2 Keaton Batman films, those were the only times DC succeeded before Nolan came along and didn't treat the franchise like a comic book franchise but like a large scale film franchise after Batman Begins.
They felt like going in a different direction.
I get that we all personally think we know the best way forward for these films, for these companies, but sometimes I wonder, do we?
i trust leto and will smith to do a good job. viola davis is probably going to be great as well. but the rest of the cast looks like generic action men who i couldn't care less about, and harley is just cringe-worthy

if you noticed, there are lots of similarities between this trailer and guardians'
70s song, checked
bad guys who will solve the situation, checked
editing that follows the song throughout the entire trailer, checked
