It's not just the referring.
The wish for easy categorizing people and things into good or bad that is basically expressed in the whole superhero thing is starting to look just..childish to me.
Some people are like that though.
Like I'm all for having characters that are more of a grey area, and I'd say Marvel's upcoming Civil War film seems to be built on just that - with two 'heroes' with conflicting politics as opposed to standard heroes vs villains, but even then there are undeniably some people in the real world that are more or less objectively evil or selfish or cruel and there are likewise some people that are far more selfless or heroic.
Good and Evil isn't just black and white, I agree. People are a mess of grey areas, but some are undeniably far darker than others. If you're bored of that kind of story then fair enough, but it's in no way childish.
if you noticed, there are lots of similarities between this trailer and guardians'
70s song, checked
bad guys who will solve the situation, checked
editing that follows the song throughout the entire trailer, checked
the difference being guardians had these neat lesser known songs, and this just goes with the most basic shit imaginable
this trailer was so fucking obnoxious but everyone loves it because queen
and i like bohemian rhapsody
Whoever is cutting these trailers must be fucking with me because the tone of this is a full 180 from what we've seen. I don't know what to believe.
You guys know this is a suicide squad movie, not a Joker and Harley film. Then again I don't think the writers know that either. Oh and there's Will Smith playing a guy who is first to wear a mask too!
I hope this film ends with the Joker cutting his own face off. I know in the comics he let someone else do it, but think- lots of people have complained about the Joker's face tattoos.
How would Leto's Joker solve that problem?

Apparently by taking notes from Jayden smith

That sounds a little overdramatic...
All the stuff we hear about Jared Leto during the filming of this is the cringiest shit.

Yikes.
Still looking forward to this though, for $7 I think I'll get my moneys worth out of it. Hopefully.
The Dark Knight Returns was pretty dark and took itself seriously and was fucking amazing. I'm still excited for BvS.
Returns was probably the worst of the 3, and it's pretty fucking hard to be worse than Batman Begins.
They picked the worst song possible for this trailer, it felt really off

What's wrong with Batman Begins? Or the entire trilogy for that matter (haven't seen Rises so I can't speak for that one).
I thought they were amazing.

Begins and Rise both felt sloppy in their execution and tone imo. The Dark Knight finally got it right and did what it wanted to do. imo the others just felt clumsy.
Not to say the trilogy is bad, but I felt like The Dark Knight was the only one that was Great.

That first part is really hammering the whole 'Joker if he shopped at Hot Topic' joke people have been making.
Not bad
Not going to lie, it looks entertaining to say the least. Jared Leto's Joker looks more promising in this trailer than before. Not completely sold on his tattoos but I do think the overall look and his performance are spot on. I really don't think it's as bad as a lot of people in this thread let off, but for some I can see where they're coming from. I feel some approached it with a preconceived mindset and struggle to give the benefit of the doubt.
Overall, it looks like it will be a fun action dark comedy. It's nice, too, that there's a lot going on in the trailer that keeps an air of mystery as to what's going on.
I don't think it looks good at all.
I can't put my finger on it, but there is just something I don't like about it.
Herley looks like "hey look at me i'm a teen tumblr girl who thinks it's sooooo cool to call myself crazy xD"

The costume department didnt.
I just don't understand how WB made from making DC adaptations like

Superman Returns may have flunked but nobody can deny that they 100% nailed the action scenes. Why not build from that success?
Hahaha, your referring to said action scenes which are infamously known for superman not even throwing ONE FUCKING PUNCH!

there are a bunch of these going around that were made by a couple of people I follow on twitter, making fun of the stories about leto's lame-ass method acting and stuff
like there were some things that were reported, but this, specifically, was made up. chill yer beans :v:
I'm so happy Harley at the end says they're bad guys. How could I have possibly known they were bad guys?
I always watch movies thinking 'are these the bad guys? I hope they say they're the bad guys at one point, otherwise, I just won't know. and we all know real bad guys say they're bad guys, that's just how it works.'
Like with the recent Avengers movie... I'm still unsure if Ultron was a bad guy. Can someone show me a clip where he says 'I'm a bad guy', just so I can be sure?

Batman Begins is now a shit movie? What the fuck is going on in this thread.
harley looks insufferable. unbearably bad
