No it won't. If they're in the same command, and the guy who was cheating was is a junior, and the guy filming the video is senior enlisted (looking at that house, yes, or better yet an officer), than the lower guy is totally fucked.
What if the guy didn't know. It's not like she couldn't have lied. In that case it's still unfair as fuck. Even if he did know, ok whatever, he gets his punishment. What about the woman? She's in it too.

If she lives in on base housing she has a husband, he knew

Ok but doesn't answer second part.
Ok but doesn't answer second part.
shes not in the military, doesn't fall under the UCMJ, they'll have their day in civilian court with her.
And since he's filing for divorce she's getting kicked outta the house because housing is for military and family only.

I just love how the fucker is running away at the end.

My bad, but scoutking is right. She will see civilian court, not military. I don't know much about how that will go really, I'm only a military brat and haven't been around that side of my family in ages. I don't think it will end well for the guy caught though, I agree with ScoutKing that that house looks like Senior Enlisted or Officer housing.
according to the article that Justinx931 posted, someone identified the wife as a data network specialist Sergeant in the Marine Corps.

She is in the military. They were both in the Marines. He EASed, she extended her contract.

Even better lol.
Can't wait to see her burn. Hopefully r/r and 45 days for both of them.
Apparently its 1 year in a military prison + dishonorable discharge + forfeiture of allowances/benefits
I've read the thread but I still have a hard time grasping why the guy filming was punished, anybody feel like explaining?

Pretty sure Velocet was referring to the guy doing the cheating. I guess it's against code to do so in the military.

His gofundme page explains everything.

Oh it flew over my head, it would've been sick if that was the case
The guy who got caught cheating with the wife can get in trouble for being in an affair with her as per the UCMJ. I'd have to look it up in my notes to see what the punishment can go up to, but it's entirely irrelevant as to whether or not he knew she was married.
nearly all military wives cheat I thought this was common knowledge

it's not about lack of love or anything it's lack of dick while the guy's on tour for a year or more

Especially wives on military bases. Imagine you're a guy surrounded by a ton of hot and willing women while yours is away. Yeah it's a lot to keep it together.
but it's entirely irrelevant as to whether or not he knew she was married.
Why's that? Seems so dumb. You get lied to and then you get in trouble for it. That's like the definition of victim blaming. (does not apply to this case since it seems he knew but overall)

It's probably to satisfy the partner who was cheated on. Even to me, as an MP, it makes very little sense for someone who genuinely did not know that the other person was already in a relationship to get in trouble for it.
Cheating is dumb and a really bad thing to do, but I don't get why it should be the military's matter. I could understand if it was in an active warzone or something, but why does it matter in housing?

When you are enrolled, and especially if you are on a base, you're policed by the MP's for all incidents.
Guy deserve better than cheater for wife, kid at home too. Sadness.

It's a law to prevent conflict and public scandal within and outside of the military. Not to mention that if you're somewhere else and a guy is taking advantage of your wife's loneliness, that's messed up. It'd be a complete madhouse.
