Oh crap, now I really want to mess around with guns.
Why are 50. cal machine guns/sniper rifles "allowed" then? Get shot in the face with that and it will make a neat little hole wont it?
Shame it isn't like in the movie looking like it's got a flamethrower on the front.
Mac-11? I thought the original prop was made from a modified Thompson M1A1?
Mac-11? I thought the original prop was made from a modified Thompson M1A1?
But this isn't the original prop. It's probably because it's easier/cheaper too.
:byodood: Holy shit. Now i want to play Aliens VS Predators 2 again, watch all pf the movies from both franchises, And cry about the lack of me having one of those.
The use of napalm was deemed a war crime after vietnam, just like the atomic bomb was deemed a war crime after WW2. Machine guns, 50 cals, etc are all fine and dandy cause they kill you pretty easily. What I was thinking of was buckshot specifically, it was deemed to "inhumane" to use on people. I know I'd heard this a few years ago from my step-dad, who used to work for an arms testing company, and who was an all-around well-versed guy. Racking up the dumbs ITT.
How is buckshot inhumane over a 5.56 tumbling around inside your body?
Awesome! Although it is just a modified M1 Thompson. I'm surprised you don't know. Aliens. Watch it. Enjoy it.
Ah, I've seen aliens, nice collection of movies. I just didn't know where it came from even tough I recognized it.
Thread derailed into warcrimes, Oh facepunch and your silly antics.
Oh god I love that. I make up some bullshit and the thread gets de-railed. On a side note, the SMG on that is def. not a Mac11 like the OP said. I'm still trying to figure out what it is, because the video's description is useless, it just said a "suomi smg".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suomi_KP/-31 It's possible it's that gun, as you can see it's got really low recoil.
The part of the gun that's showig and isn't covered in painted plastic looks more like a M1 Thompson's reciever or something.
Why are 50. cal machine guns/sniper rifles "allowed" then? And you won't be recognized. At all. [editline]05:08PM[/editline] If you think it's worse being hit by a 50.cal instead of a shotgun blast. Well, stop playing video games and come back to reality.
A shotgun blast to the face will blow your head to bits.
No it wont, you played too much Manhunt , and watched too much shitty hollywood action films, now have you ? Now lets get this thread back on track, shall we ?
Wait am I missing something here? It's just a gun that fires two ways... Explain? (inb4box)
Wait am I missing something here? It's just a gun that fires two ways... Explain? (inb4box)
It's two guns that are used together to create one.
No it wont, you played too much Manhunt , and watched too much shitty hollywood action films, now have you ? Now lets get this thread back on track, shall we ?
Yes it will. I've seen actual pictures of shotgun suicides, straight to the head. Their face is literally an unrecognizable mass of flesh, blood, and skin.
We need to use this in Afghanistan.
Yea we do
If it was a warcrime then the US Marine Corps wouldn't use the M1014 or any shotgun that carries more than three rounds. Navy ships use them for shipboard security. They're close-combat devices. They don't kill anyone any harder than a rifle will. By your logic, killing an enemy combatant is a war crime.
That's why the french never commited a war crime.
No, killing them with a brutally inefficient weapon (a shotgun) is a warcrime. Do I really need to dig up 3 sources? And don't put words in my mouth. That's not my logic.
the shotgun is incredibly efficient just not at a far range, and no it WILL NOT, explode someone's head even at point blank. It will fuck them up probably beyond recognization, but it won't make the head "explode" as far as i know, the shotgun is used in warfare but mostly for door breaching. It is still allowed to be used in an actual gun fight, just not recommended if you have a rifle on you. Or recommended if your inside a house.
What the dick have I created

Still lethal at that range Nothing on a rifle but perfectly realistic in many combat situations [editline]05:52PM[/editline] 50 yards (150 feet) will disable anyone within the 8 foot spread. May kill depending on where the pellets land on the individual [editline]05:53PM[/editline] just for reference, a football field is 100 yards. So standing from the endzone you could take someone out at the 50 yard line quite easily
I've actually been searching for a reasonably priced replica or cheap conversion kit for airsoft, but it's all a bit too expensive for my tastes, really.
There's no way this is a MAC11. The charging handle should be on the top, not the side. And a MAC11's magazine goes into the grip, this magazine clearly goes ahead of the trigger.

Also why is the spread on almost all videogame shotguns really unrealistic.
I love how the whole shotgun debate is about birdshot rounds even though buckshot is more common.
All in all I think everyone can agree getting shot in general sucks. That being said. Shotgun wounds are probably worse and much MUCH bloodier. I personally wouldn't use a shotgun because I can't live with shooting someone and disfiguring their face. Well I can't live with killing anyone for that matter.
They should make these things standard issue.
Besides, in BF2142 only noobs used the shotgun attachment. Rifle rockets and defib is where its at.
