I guess I'm the only one who thought it was pretty cool for a fanmade trailer and the concept of a Freddy's game where you actually get to walk around and explore while dodging murderbots would be a lot nicer than being trapped inside a security room and barricading yourself against murderbots all night.
it's mostly chalked up to luck.
I wouldn't say the game is completely luck based. There's heavy resource and attention management, but that in itself is an issue with the game since resource management is the source of its initial fear factor. If you're not good enough to properly deal with everything, then it's frightening, but it also seems unfair. However, if you're good at the game, the sense of fear from having limited resources is greatly reduced when you know what you're doing. I also dislike it when people say "it's all bad jump scares" as if it's the jump scares that are supposed to be what's frightening. The jump scares are just your punishment for doing your job poorly. The only "real" jump scare I'd say is with Foxy's fail state.
Why does Freddy look like he's made out of wood?
