Depends on the school system, if you're going to middle school (over here that's basically high school, it's just called middle school) at 15 and choose to study as a machinist, you're not going to have [I]any[/I] classes about society, on the other hand if you actually choose something that's related to stuff like that, you're going to have a lot of classes about it.
In other words it's not as broad as it should be, but that's hardly the reason why some people unconditionally hate gypsies.

I asked about his religious beliefs. You said he is Jewish. Jewish people don't have to follow Judaism. It's true depending on where you live, for example in Šoštanj where my grandmother lived there are some squatters who always harass people there but in Murska Sobota where my other grandparents (mothers side) had a house, I had a childhood friend who was a gypsy and we pretty much hanged out all the time, that is until she was taken away by social security because she was an alcoholic at 7 years of age and her parents didn't let her go to school, I haven't heard of her since, but you get the point.
