The Very Best is great! Try Amadou and Mariam as well. If you really like Vampire Weekend then you will probably like Ra Ra Riot as well. Some bands that might be more of a stretch but I'll recommend anyways: Peter Bjorn and John Florence and The Machine Andrew Bird (way more mellow, though, but you might like the sound)
Not heard of Amadou and Miriam, Ra Ra Riot or Peter Bjorn and John. Andrew Bird is /okay/, but then again I haven't listened to him much. Florence + The Machine I like. But really only "Kiss With A Fist" and "Dog Days Are Over" Still need to listen to The Very Best. Listening to Animal Collective RIGHT NOW. Here's my top ten overall according to Last.fm: Frightened Rabbit, Dear and the Headlights, As Tall As Lions, Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy, IMA Robot, Muse, Arcade Fire, St. Vincent, God Is An Astronaut. What that's missing out is the fact I also listen to Pendulum and The Prodigy more occasionally. Not a huge Vampire Weekend fan (but then again those on my list are ones I've been obsessed with, I could go through a Vampire Weekend obsession yet), I just used that song as an example because I'd never found something like that before.
Anybody know of stuff similar to Blink-182 or Simple Plan? Looking to cram my Zune full of new stuff.
Anybody know of stuff similar to Blink-182 or Simple Plan? Looking to cram my Zune full of new stuff.
Owl City would be a good place to start.
Owl City would be a good place to start.
..what? Owl City is synthpop. Blink-182 is pop punk. Simple Plan is pop punk. How in hell are those similar? [editline]07:40PM[/editline] Oh, and similar to Blink-182 and Simple Plan? Green Day's albums Warning, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.
..what? Owl City is synthpop. Blink-182 is pop punk. Simple Plan is pop punk. How in hell are those similar?
look you dropped something the joke
look you dropped something the joke
If that was a joke it was poorly executed. A joke generally has a punchline.
If that was a joke it was poorly executed. A joke generally has a punchline.
Next time, I'll ask Teto to refer to the "Klownox Etiquette for Posting a Joke on Facepunch".

I'm just saying that
Owl City would be a good place to start.
doesn't seem like good delivery of a joke to me.
doesn't seem like good delivery of a joke to me.
It wasn't meant to make you laugh, it was meant to make you react like this. I am finding it funny therefore the joke is a success.
Go listen to We Were Promised Jetpacks. they are fantastic and pretty similar to Frightened Rabbit
Got them already, they're really good, but I'm really only a fan of It's Thunder and It's Lightning. The rest of it I don't find stands out much for me. But that said I haven't /really/ listened to the other tracks.

They're like a more folkey Frightened Rabbit.

anything like The CNK?
Well These Four Walls is certainly better than Frightened Rabbit's latest album. oh fine jeez ok
I guess our tastes in indie rock are a little different. Or maybe I'm not listening closely enough to These Four Walls idk. But thanks for all the recommendations c: It's just that I am getting so many and oh god, I still haven't listened to most of those recommended because I've been busy downloading other shit like Equilibrium, White Town and Eminem. My music tastes are getting confused. Folk Metal, Rap and whatever White Town is. ksdjbvsf :c
I was wondering if anyone knew some music like "She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel, "And I See a Darkness" by Bonnie Prince Billy, and "We Might Fall" by Ryan Star. Infact anything like We Might Fall or Last Train Home.
Ok, I'm kinda out of ideas and iTune's Genius isn't really helping me out either.. So the bands I really like (in order of 'best' above): - Coldplay - Mat Kearney - Matt Nathanson - One Republic - 16Frames - Jason Mraz - Milow - Racoon - Snow Patrol - Keane - Gavin DeGraw - U2 As you might have noticed these are all acoustic/pop-like songs.. On the other hand, I also like (in random order): - Just Timberlake (Dance/ R&B) - Kevin Rudolf (Dance/ Electronic) - Gui Boratto (Techno/ Trance) - Jay-Z (Hip-Hop) - Lupe Fiasco (Hip-Hop) - Muse, but only the Resistance album, Hullaballoo is too much 'noise' I think (Soft-Rock) - Pete Philly & Perquisite (Hip-Hop/ Classical) - David Garrett (Violin/ Classic) - Pendulum (Electronic) - Eminem (Hip-Hop) These are some of my favourites, hope you guys can help me out :D
