Tunnan och Moroten. It's a Swedish band that is pretty new, but already big in the underground movement over here. The name basically means Fatal Hilarity. They're really talented.
I'm on a 80s and 90s rave/techno/house tip today. Something along the lines of early Moby, Orbital, Green Velvet, Joey Beltram etc. Suggestions?

I can't think of any songs in particular right now so I'll just list a few names you might like.
Don Mclean
Dan Fogelberg
Jim Croce
Harry Chapin
James Taylor
Top two are probably most like what you mentioned.

Anything from:
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Simon and Garfunkle
Buffalo Springfield
recommend to me:
liquid funk (Stan SB, Memro, Netsky)
dubstep (ajapai, doctor p, downlink)
noise (wolf eyes, black dice)
don't know many artists of any of those genres.

just checked out Moderat, good stuff.. I used to listen to a bit of Modeselektor's stuff too so that's kind of funny I guess.
I'm not sure how to describe noise music aside from that it isn't as organized as other music and is often considered unpleasant. It doesn't always follow a consistent rhythm and noise artists tend to create their own instruments. I would recommend Wolf Eyes but their music is extremely rare and none of their good music is on youtube. Try listening to Black Dice (Glazin is a good song).
I know Noise Rock, but not Noise.

after listening to black dice I can tell they are quite different.

Actually shit I should have mentioned Fuck Buttons too.

High Contrast, Camo & Krooked, maybe some Sub Focus.
I'm going to buy myself a Camaro soon, and I've been trying to stock up on some really good driving tunes. Right now I'm trying to gather as much great stuff from the 60s-70s as possible.
Anyone want to suggest me some great driving music from those eras?
