Looking for songs to learn on bass guitar. Think of bands like Behemoth, older Cannibal Corpse, or Bloodbath. If you recommend a song, please give me the tuning as well.
So guys, I'd reaaaallly love for somebody to post me some fucking kickass instrumental bands. I'd like stuff that's similar to Animals As Leaders or Explosions In The Sky. I love that kind of shit, and I don't mean ambient kind of music, I want instrumentals with drums, bass, guitar, ect whatever other kind of instrument I will love the person who can give me some suggestions [editline]11:14PM[/editline]
i need a band thats screamo with a melodic sound and melodic lyrics and lyrics kinda like system of a down you know political
-snip- The examples I gave are shit, I read the post better. Not melodic at all but if you like political stuff you should crank some Rage Against The Machine if you haven't
Keith merrow is an amazing Djent style instrumentalist, better than Animals as Leaders I think. He's made two albums, and he's released them for free on his website. http://www.keithmerrow.com/fr_home.cfm
Fuck that's badass, thanks man

I did not get the answer I wanted so let me repost my question, can anyone suggest me a Post-Hardcore band like the bands below: Aiden, Alesana, Attack Attack!, Chiodos, A Day To Remember, Enter Shikari, Escape The Fate, The Fall of Troy, His Statue Falls (pretty awesome band), I Set My Friends On Fire, Ice Nine Kills, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Silverstein, We Are The Ocean and We Came As Romans, Of Mice & Men and Circle Takes the Square. All help is appreciated once again. [editline]7:17pm[/editline] On an unrelated note, woot 50 posts in 3 years!
Bands with that Tom Morello like guitar playing/feeling.

Black Emperor. Some parts can be rather Ambient, but I would still check out a whole song or two.

This might sound weird coming from a metalhead but I've taken a liking to hard/melodic trance lately. Preferably vocal-less. Stuff like this: Anyone got more like this?

Specifically the songs War Dogs, Mona Lisa Overdrive, Navaras, and Pistolero.
Anyone know Surf bands with catchy surfing-guitar-sounding songs?
Anything similar to Testament's "The Formation of Damnation" album out there? Loved the guitar in it, really badass and stuff. I would also prefer if the vocals didn't get any heavier than Testament, these are already quite rough for me.

But as already recommended, 65daysofstatic and Godspeed You! Black Emperor are great too. So are God is an Astronaut and Explosions in the Sky, but they're more ambient
