I like: Tool The Mars Volta Daft Punk Karnivool Birds Of Tokyo At the Drive-in A Perfect Circle Gorillaz Incubus Muse Pendulum Pink Floyd Red Hot Chili Peppers I know it's kind of mixed, but can anyone suggest me some bands? Favorite genre would have to be Progressive Rock, and my favorite band is Tool.

I'll give them a try. Anything else? Progressive Rock, Alternative Metal, and such. I'm not a fan of Screamo or Hardcore.

You might try Watershed, but that might be pushing it.
I'm looking for a few songs that are similar to 3OH!3's Photofinnish, Don't trust me, Richman, or Starstruckk. Anyone?
Favorite genre would have to be Progressive Rock
Then where the hell is King Crimson?
Giant Squid?

Then where the hell is King Crimson?
Which albums?
These two should interest you. Rishloo Gods are Ghosts
Wow they both sound amazing, thanks.
Which albums?
As far as Giant Squid goes, I really like Metridium Field.
Which albums?
You'd be hard pressed to find a bad KC album, depends what you're into. The band has broken up and reformed a bunch of times so there's a bunch of different sounding material. Basically: In the Court, In the Wake, Lizard, Islands: Sort of soft, jazzy, symphonic. Generally people get In the Court first. Larks Tounge, Starless, Red: Heavy stuff, very exciting guitar based music. Kicks ass. Discipline, Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair: Poppier than their other stuff, Discipline is the best of these albums. Thrak, the various ProjeKct albums, The Power to Believe: Thrak and TPTB are fantastic, the Projekct albums are alright. Some moments are extremely intense. Out of all these ITCOTCK and Red are usually considered their best. I'd personally vouch of Larks Tounge and Lizards though.

I might try more of there stuff, I think they'll grow on me. As for Rishloo and 10 Years, they are really starting to grow on me, I'm really glad I found this thread.

No results last time... Second try. Metal similar to Amorphis (after the addition of Tomi Joutsen)?
Wouldn't mind anything similar to VNV Nation's Vocal songs ( Illusion, Beloved, etc. )
No results last time... Second try. Metal similar to Amorphis (after the addition of Tomi Joutsen)?
You mean Amorphis starting from Silent Waters? I loved that album, but I haven't heard anything new from them since then.. I don't know if you'll find it similar, but I guess I'll give it a try. Callisto's new album, Providence, is somewhat mystical and contains a lot of clean vocals as opposed to their earlier works. It's also worth mentioning that, alike Amorphis, Callisto are also Finnish. Providence was never really considered one of their better albums, but that's probably because it differs from what they made before. Definitely a surprise, and perhaps even a letdown for those who are fans of their previous stuff. Just like Callisto, The Ocean released an album that took their fans by surprise, Heliocentric. Some love it, some hate it. I've listened to this album around forty times according to Winamp, and I still don't know where I stand. The vocalist's accent is what bothers me the most, because every now and then you can, no offense meant, really hear he's not from anywhere where they speak English. I'll have to say, Heliocentric is probably their best album in terms of songwriting. Eh, I don't know.. You may find it alright, but I don't think it's all that similar. Gave it a shot, at least.
Heliocentric is one of my current favourite albums :v: Loic Rossetti I think is fantastic too
If anyone has heard Ed Harrison's soundtrack for the HL2 mod Neotokyo, do you know anything similar? I wouldn't know what genre to call it.
