No results last time... Second try. Metal similar to Amorphis (after the addition of Tomi Joutsen)?
Sentenced
Not very at all. They play on the radio and such, but I don´t think they attract big crowds or nothing, and you´ve got to be a bit into music to know them here.
You mean Amorphis starting from Silent Waters? I loved that album, but I haven't heard anything new from them since then.. I don't know if you'll find it similar, but I guess I'll give it a try. Callisto's new album, Providence, is somewhat mystical and contains a lot of clean vocals as opposed to their earlier works. It's also worth mentioning that, alike Amorphis, Callisto are also Finnish. Providence was never really considered one of their better albums, but that's probably because it differs from what they made before. Definitely a surprise, and perhaps even a letdown for those who are fans of their previous stuff. Just like Callisto, The Ocean released an album that took their fans by surprise, Heliocentric. Some love it, some hate it. I've listened to this album around forty times according to Winamp, and I still don't know where I stand. The vocalist's accent is what bothers me the most, because every now and then you can, no offense meant, really hear he's not from anywhere where they speak English. I'll have to say, Heliocentric is probably their best album in terms of songwriting. Eh, I don't know.. You may find it alright, but I don't think it's all that similar. Gave it a shot, at least.
Dude fucking get Skyforger, their latest album. Probably my favourite album of all time. Kicks Silent Waters' ass, and that was a masterpiece. Also Eclipse was actually the first with Tomi Joutsen. Castillo don't really resemble current Amorphis much. And as mentioned, Sentenced. There aren't really any bands like Amorphis, but this is your best bet I think. Barren Earth are reasonably similar, but not so folky. It actually has two old Amorphis members in it, the bassist and keyboardist. Before the Dawn None of these really sound that much like Amorphis, really because they're lacking the folk elements. Which is what makes Amorphis stand out so much I guess. But this is as close I know, really.
suggest me something close to The Black Keys

Bands in any way similar to Sybreed.
Mnemic They're like a Sybreed clone, minus the cyber elements. I think you know all the other bands similar :v:
I listen to Tool, Pink Floyd and King Crimson mostly. I´ve heard a couple of songs by Yes and I quite liked them and I allso kinda like Kyuss. So progressive stuff similiar to Tool, Floyd and/or Crimson and I´d be happy if someone could recommend me albums by Yes and Kyuss. I don´t really like anything too BRVTAL like Meshuggah or Gojira etc. and I don´t really like Dream Theater or Opeth either becuase they´re too metall-y (and I don´t mean heavy). Also I don´t like anything too glam rockish like Rush.
I'd like some good Soul/RNB/Motown/Funk, been listening to The Miracles, The Temptations and some other bands for a long time now and I'd love to find something new!

Hm. Looking for some new Power / Melodic Death (as long as it's not overly death-y/heavy) / whatever-you-think-i'd-like Metal. I'm not a massive fan of screams / growls, but as long as they're not overdone and are understandable I'm happy with it. For the bands I already have, check out my Last.FM. Thanks!
