Can anyone gimme some shit similar to Wintersun?
Anything similar to songs from Blink-182's self-titled? I hate their immature shit, but their self-titled was pretty solid.
Some post-hardcore. I've got: Envy Dance Gavin Dance I Would Set Myself on Fire for You In Fear and Faith The Blot To Blow Up the Eiffel Tower Sunny Day Real Estate Some Girls Funeral Diner Heaven In Her Arms Finch Neil Perry Orchid So some stuff like that would be superb.
Christian Metal
snip

snip
Aaand a month later - feedback. My favorites from the list: Between the Buried and Me - Colors Devil Sold His Soul - Blessed and Cursed Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory Mastodon - Crack the Skye And a tie between Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth, and Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World. Seriously dope. You cannot skip any tracks on the first three albums above. They all have a winning combination, great vocals and great instrumenation. Blessed and Cursed was easy to get into, since I've been listening to Post-Hardcore. Post-Hardcore + Prog Metal musicality = epic. I need five more based on my favorites please. Check out Leprous - Tall Poppy Syndrome Blind Guardian - At the Edge of Time Rinoa - An Age Among Them White Willow - Storm Season Diablo Swing Orchestra - Sing Along Songs for the Damned and Delirious Maybe not entirely "prog" by definition, but all great music :D
Music and Band discussion is to go on here save the specialized genre musics that have their own threads. This thread has become Essential Music thread because of the following: A. Filesharing is apperantly evil, stay away from it Hit it with a stick if you need to but keep it away B. Because honestly this thread has takena direction more similiar to Essential Music then I thought it would have...For some reason. So thread title changed. Also for those who have not viewed this thread, the topic is, What is the Essential Music? What albums must one own? What bands does one need listen in order to be completed?
Reccomend me some Sludge metal. I already listen to Down (classic sludge), High on Fire (sludge/heavy metal), Mastodon (sludge/progressive), Kylesa (sludge/progressive), Baroness (sludge/progressive/bit of post rock), Neurosis (sludge/experimental/post rock), and ISIS (sludge/post rock).

Not to say we don't contribute to artists though, it's just some records are hard as fuck to actually find
