Trying to find this deathcore band, I can't remember their name. They were posted here recently in a thread, but I lost it. They're not really deathcore to general terms because instead of being a cross of death metal and metalcore, they're a cross between death metal and hardcore punk. Thought it was cool shit, so if anyone could help it'd be much appreciated.
I'm in dire need of more old school death metal. Shit like Baphomet, Morbid Angel, Autopsy and so on.
How is Blue Cheer like any of those? [editline]2nd November 2010[/editline] I don't get the joke.
Forgive me then, they're somewhat in the Iron Maiden direction.
Okay then. Just to make sure. We're talking them, yeah?
Yeah, though perhaps they're not that much alike. My bad, haha. [editline]3rd November 2010[/editline] But I was just thinking, cause I know when I liked Iron Maiden alot I discovered Blue Cheer and liked them too.
Fair enough. Regardless, a good band worth checking out.

Recommend me some alt-country. I've been kinda going on a Ryan Adams craze lately, and I need something else to satisfy that craving.

Alright, there was a Youtube video of Cryptopsy (I believe) posted in the music section a long while back. To better describe it, it was live footage of an older show (I want to say the 90's) and the entire song the crowd was stage diving and going insane. If someone could help me find this video, I would greatly appreciate it.
After searching and searching still, I haven't found any music that has the same pounding feel as metallica's early music. Are there any bands that have similar production and are just as heavy? I have been looking into bands like anthrax and slayer, and thrash metal in general, but they really just don't have the same force as metallica's early stuff.
The Protomen
You're kidding right?
You're kidding right?
Kreator, Sodom(not that fond of them but the M16 album is very good), Gama Bomb, Destruction [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Mid-early Megadeth
Does anyone know anything similar to melodic parts in this? Except without the death metal.
