Bob Dylan's early work up until Bringing it All Back Home
Try his Blood On The Tracks album.
I'm pretty difficult when it comes to getting into new music. I hate having any music which sounds just like stuff I already have. So I'll post a couple of my favourite bands, if you guys want to recommend anything I'd enjoy it'd be appreciated.
Try his Blood On The Tracks album.
Just checked it out and I don't really care for the album as a whole but certain songs are quite cool, thanks!
I'm looking for something similar to: The White Stripes Cage the Elephant Jet The Dead Weather The Fratellis Dr.Dog Citizen Cope State Radio Crash Kings Vampire Weekend
Maybe Beck? [editline]22nd January 2011[/editline]
I've been listening to a lot of early hardcore punk lately, specifically Dead Kennedys and Black Flag. Can someone suggest more bands like them? Some shoegaze bands would be nice as well, as I'm already listening to My Bloody Valentine.
Try The Depreciation Guild's Spirit Youth album.
Maybe Beck? I don't really like them...
Guided By Voices Pavement
Found this band, I know I'm quoting myself but there has to be someone else looking for similar things to guided by voices.
Looking for a band/trio/etc. in this genre: - Avishai Cohen Trio - Tord Gustavsen Trio So, it's Jazz, but not trumpet-Armstrong-jazz.
Mount Eerie The Microphones
Woelv Ô Paon
I listen to Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP, King Crimson and Tool + Electric Wizard (don´t ask me why). So proggy stuff mostly. I´ve listened to Moving Pictures and I quite like it, so other albums by Rush would be nice, or albums by any prog rock band really. Also progressive metal probably, though I don´t really like really sort of metall-y stuff. And I don´t mean heavy, Electric Wizard is the heaviest shit you can find, but bands that sound like too generic metal, eg. Opeth or Dream Theater. So unique or unconventional sounding stuff. I could probably get into other Doom/Stoner Metal bands, too (Sleep?).
You might like Blood Ceremony.

Alright, someone give me some sad classical music, something like this: Or like Adiago for Strings or the TTRL soundtracks.

I'm looking for stuff in the vein of Neutral Milk Hotel and the Mountain Goats. So indie/hipster.
something in the taste of... Lets Go Electric Valentine
If you like owl city you will like the postal service.
I'm looking for stuff in the vein of Neutral Milk Hotel and theMountain Goats. So indie/hipster.
Johny Hobo And The Freight Trains sounds kinda like them, Johny's not as good in my opinion but it's sort of similar. The Antlers sometimes remind me of Neutral Milk Hotel but isn't really similar. Okkervil river also does that sometimes.
I'm looking for stuff in the vein of Neutral Milk Hotel and the Mountain Goats. So indie/hipster.
Fleet Foxes are kinda like them except with more folkiness in them.
Gimme REALLY psychadelic lsd style jazz. Not no light-hearted stuff, I want some pure expression. :smug:
Ok, I'll give this a go: I think a have a varied taste, my favoutrite Muisician/bands are: Eminem, Coldplay, Greenday, The Offspring, Blink 182, Iron Maiden and Panic! At the disco. I also used to like System of a down (I still do, just not as much) As much as I like them, you know, I want more music.
Yeah, i like The Beatles, System of a Down, Radiohead, White Stripes, Queen, Bob Marley, Gorillaz, Shakira and lots of other artists/bands. I'll listen to anything, as long as it makes sense.
So guys, I'm trying to find songs with speeches in the background, with minimal amounts of actual singing. Some shitty examples but the only things that come to mind: If anyone can help me out, it'd be appreciated.
So, my music library needs to be vastly expanded. I'm mainly looking for instrumental artists, e.g Satriani, or stuff like this: I also really love Led Zeppelin and The White Stripes, and ambient music. Oh, and if a song has an audible and awesome bass player in it(think rhcp) that's a huge plus. But I'd appreciate all sorts of suggestions, I don't know many artists, unfortunately.
