Does anyone know of any good Uplifting/Inspirational music? It can be new or old, language preference is English or German, don't care which. If you can think of an album, great, artist, that's fine too. Anything is helpful... Rock, pop, jazz, doesn't matter.
My music collection at the moment, I want to get some new albums/artists for a road trip to Portsmouth tomorrow.

Rush in the mid eighties had alot of Pink Floyd esque stuff, and you might like their other stuff too.

Try the album Zwölf by Herbert Grönemeyer (Kopf Hoch Tanzen, Spur), Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen has some uplifting tracks too (Darlington County, Workin' on the Highway)
I'm getting tired of my iTunes playlist.
Could anyone recommend me some good Drum and Bass or Breakbeat stuff?

Hmm, Louis Armstrong has some nice jazz hits, for example "willkommen". Billy Joel has some cool pop hits!

Plug - Drum n Bass for Papa
I really need some new music. My favorite genre is electronic with sub-genres being electro (Justice, Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT), EBM/Futurepop (Covenant, VNV Nation, Mind.In.A.Box), House (Daft Punk) and big beat (The Crystal Method, Junkie XL).
Anyone have anything that I might like?
There's also my Last.fm library listing if that helps.

Does anyone have any recommendations, based on this list?
Boards of Canada (electronic) and Sigur Ros (post-rock).
Automatic Tasty, autechre
Okay. This is driving me crazy. Firstly, I need some bands with songs like this:

Specifically the female vocals (like hers, I don't want overly power metal or symphonic metal-y female vocals), and the powerful percussion. Growling male vocals are optional, though if they do exist, can they at least have better lyrics? (I mean, seriously, "You faggot/You broke the code of honor." What the hell?)
Then, I need some bands like this:

Specifically, the deep male vocals, and the macabre lyrics ("Dead starlight bleeds down on the devil's nitrate/all the nerves of the victim bathed in shock and shame/Cuz I'm the trigger that'll start this game.")
Lyrics not a requirement, but the male vocals and the somewhat aggressive instrumentation are what I'm looking for.
Despite what people saying about their music being very common, I've yet to find another band like them. :v:
[editline]Fishsticks[/editline]
Also, if anyone can help me, and I know this is a long shot, but there was a band, probably most easily defined as groove metal and/or alternative metal, with a female vocalist. She had a husky (but not manly) voice, and she kind of scream-shouted. I can't remember any song names, any lyrics (apart from the tiny little snippet of "Red pill, blue pill" from one of the songs), or the name at all. I think the band started with a V, but I'm not sure.
I also remember a music video for another song being a claymation stop-motion. All I can remember about it is a robot (I think) vacuuming a carpet (I think). And I think the song is about not wanting to be a slaving housewife to an unloving man. Or something like that.
I'm not particularly interested in the music, but the fact I can't remember anything about the artist is driving me mad.
Thanks guys. :v:
Ok, I'll give this a go:
I think a have a varied taste, my favoutrite Muisician/bands are: Eminem, Coldplay, Greenday, The Offspring, Blink 182, Iron Maiden and Panic! At the disco. I also used to like System of a down (I still do, just not as much)
As much as I like them, you know, I want more music.
radiohead

I applaud you for your music diversity
Anything that sounds like Weezer's first two albums? I know it's not groundbreaking or anything but I can't find anything that sounds similar.

I've also gotten a slight interest in rap. But mosly old stuff like Østkysthustlers (You probably don't know them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64prOSFV7lg )
I've heard ALOT of stuff like Bob Marley, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Slipknot, Queen, Beatles... all the stuff. I need something refreshing!!

Try Rammstein or Mushroomhead, both are a bit refreshing for your list.
Oh yea. I've been through Rammstein too many times as well. I will try Mushroomhead. Anything else ? :v:
Oh and if anyone can find anything international like this stuff it would be wicked:

Got a request. I'm looking for some special jazz style. Where the bass makes alot of the song, and they often base the song on the blues (minor) scale. Examples:
