I really like it, it's awesome.
if i wanted to get into dream theater, what album would i start on
if i wanted to get into dream theater, what album would i start on
Octavarium would be my starting place. Images and Words is also a good album.
I need someone to define my musical taste for me. I have about four bands that I'll spend about a month each obsessively listening to, in an endless circle that's been going for two years now, and I have ears for nothing else during that time. They are The Dreadnoughts, Pendulum, The Decemberists, and General Fiasco. Can someone suggest something similar that I might like or attempt to explain this?
Try out some of The Qemists's stuff, the first album is better.
if i wanted to get into dream theater, what album would i start on
Depends on what kind of music you like. Train Of Thought for heavy, Awake for heavy/proggy.
Always Images and Words, it's pretty much their best. Oh, then go for Scenes from a Memory.
Kraftwerk Boards of Canada Can anyone suggest me some classical music?
I HIGHLY suggest Philip Glass (Glassworks), Gustav Mahler(3rd Symphony), and Franz Schubert (no piece in particular) [editline]14th March 2011[/editline] I really enjoy Green Day, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down, Boris, Philip Glass, and Walk the Moon Any suggestions on a 10 dollar album I should buy?
I really enjoy Boris Any suggestions on a 10 dollar album I should buy?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysol_%28album%29 Not sure if it'll cost you $10... maybe more :3:
Are there any bands who actually make this sort of stuff, and not just soundtracks? Victorian style weirdness, it's so cool :saddowns:
anything along the lines of this will be appreciated.
Looking for some Punk or Punk related music. Mostly like these bands Crass Amebix Discharge Iskra Skitsystem Dystopia
Looking for some Punk or Punk related music.
Try Joy Division, Television or The Clash. Those are the first bands to go to when talking about that genre. :v:
Already got some Joy Division, they are awesome. Television does not seem my thing. But I am liking enough of The Clash to look into them more.
Television does not seem my thing.
Didn't like Marquee Moon? I think you should try again. :smug:
That was not bad. I'm mostly looking for rawer stuff like the bands I listed, but I'm open to all things Punk. Well apart from Pop Punk or anything related to that, I already listened to that kinda stuff when I was younger.
Anyone could suggest me any Punk rock music?
My birthday is coming up and I need some early prog music! Ie, stuff like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes! or King Crimson.
Anyone could suggest me any Punk rock music?
If you looking into anything Punk try everything listed in the last few posts. If not then I would at least suggest Crass Amebix and if your looking for anything Punk might as well try these as well Man Is The Bastard Pine Barrens Lords of Lightspeed
Looking for some Punk or Punk related music. Mostly like these bands Skitsystem
Totalt Jävla Mörker sounds a lot like Skitsystem, it's great. This song in particular is fucking awesome: And these might not be very similiar to those bands you mentioned there, but you might like them anyway :v:: Haggis Heavy Heavy Low Low
