Hey guys, I really want to get into Jazz, but I don't quite know the whole scene. I love The Seatbelts' Tank! (Cowboy Bebop) and I would love to hear more like that. If anyone can recommend other artists with some energy and fun I'll be super happy.

Older Shining albums are pretty cool jazz :buddy:
Grindstone- this album is quite experimental and has some rocky guitar and weird vocals, synths and flutes and all sorts of cool stuff
In The Kingdom of Kitsch You Will Be a Monster- this album is kinda similar to Grindstone, but with less vocals
Where the Ragged People Go- more or less pure jazz, the only instruments are drums, contrabass, flute and piano, no vocals. This album is hard to find on the internet though, I bought it in the store.
And there's this 80's post-punk/jazz band with soul vocals that I was meaning to check out but haven't found the time, but I think it seems interesting: Rip Rig & Panic

For you metal dudes out there, Mastodon (probably have been said before, but it is worth saying again).
Also, Kvelertak is quite good!

Mastodons are extinct, you should have known better.

Oh heres a request right here. While all of that was great and I enjoy it, can you think of anything like chill? Heres the best example I have: I just got done toking up and I wanna drive around at night or chill in my car and Skagos was great for that, especially the All Night or whatever song.
I've heard alot of progressive rock and I'm moving into more progressive metal ala Tool. So are there any more progressive metal bands you guys could suggest?
Dream Theater is a pretty good one.

Try Porcupine Tree. Tool is pretty unique so you probably won´t fin anything similiar. I´ve been trying to find good prog metal bands too, but I haven't really found anything I'd like too much. You should try Mastodon too.
