Odessey and Oracle by the Zombies are a psychedelic pop band similar to the Beatles in their psychedelic phase. Time of the Season is in like, every 60s montage ever so you've probably heard it before. The rest of the album is just as great.
Forever Changes by Love is like the Doors if they brought in baroque styles in their music. They aren't the most original band, but they do feel like they did invent the whole 60s rock scene even though they didn't really.
Jeff Beck was a big innovation towards hard rock and bluesy metal. You'll like him seeing as you like Zeppelin and Hendrix.
Todd Rundgren is like a mix between Elton John and Genesis. I suggest Something/Anything.
For some more catchy 70s pop rock Steely Dan are masters at that.

Fat rap beats, but no vocals
Absolutely hate the vocals in rap but I love the massive chunky beats that accompany it

You could try Edvard Grieg who I would consider similar to Gustav Holst. http://www.last.fm/music/Edvard%2520Grieg?ac=edvard
(And also) I daresay you've already heard of him, but you could try Johann Sebastian Bach, I would recommend Air on a G String, and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
I need something with some crazy bass, could be whatever genre.

See, every time I see someone ask for similar things to Tool I would suggest Karnivool but then people act like it's the only thing I listen to
I am looking for some "chill" music, I guess. I've been listening to hardstyle lately and now I'm a little tired of it. Something with a nice beat, could really care less if it didn't have vocals, something that just seems calm. Something like Charlie Parker's Take Five, The Room's Make Luv, or Stardust's Music Sounds Better With You. Anything that seems calm or slow like the songs I mentioned.

While still good, I don't think either are anything like Gustav Holst. Bach is very pretty and flowing string music, Edvard Grieg is very much 1 rhythm + 1 melody piano pieces.
I love Gustav's concert band arrangements. Not just the power of the pieces, but the beauty and technicality. WONDERFUL brass writer. Uses contrast of treble and depth like a god.
I've found Mussorgksy to be somewhat similar.

This movement of Planets (Jupiter) is amazing.

I'm getting bored of heavy metal music. Thinking I'm better then everyone else because I listen to music that isn't mainstream is getting old and I only just realised what a douche I am for it. I'd like something new to get into, should be easy to get in to, genre, and a few iconic albums of that genre. Anything you guys like, I'll give a try

Soul Music is fairly simple to get into/comprehend.
Few albums:
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
Curtis Mayfield - Superfly
Al Green - Call Me
Don't forget Aloe Blacc as a starter artist for soulsy type stuff.

Hmm... Yes, not all that many composers spring to mind that are closely like the Planet Suite... I see what you mean with Mussorgksy, haven't listened to his for a while though. In technicalities though, without going too gentle, Vivaldi's concertos are rather good, try some of these, http://www.last.fm/music/Antonio%2520Vivaldi/VIVALDI%253A%2520Favourite%2520Concertos?ac=vivaldi%20concert (Sorry, a bit time restricted looking for youtube videos at the moment)although, he doesn't include much brass, which I find rather disappointing as I am a brass player myself.
Handel seems to be a bit nicer to brass players, although he does still use strings quite a bit. Some of his most famous music other than his "Messiah" is the Water Music which is one of my favourites, although, I'm a bit unsure whether it's what you want. It does have quite a bit of depth to it, but not quite as powerful as Holst's. I rather like the Overture to the Royal Fireworks . Hopefully this will be what you're looking for... Oh, and this might be of interest, you can preview more of them here faster although only for 30 seconds http://www.last.fm/music/Georg%2520Friedrich%2520H%25C3%25A4ndel/Handel%253A%2520Water%2520Music%2520and%2520others?ac=water%20music%20handel
