And you're just as bad as religious people by speculating without proof. All that would have came to be without religion. Prove me wrong.
wait one second how the fuck am I as bad as a zealot do tell I'd like a good laugh
Carbon, you seem to be missing the point. I have never bashed science for anything, because it's almost as stupid as what you;re doing right now. What I want to know, is why do you insult religion and make it seem like a satanic cult when you scream and whine when anyone says a thing about your beliefs.
the way I see it is that religion came first, people wanted to codify their beliefs, so they started exploring the way the world worked people didn't come to religious conclusions from science are you trying to say that science came first? Because that's pretty wrong
Science came before religion. As soon as people began making observations about the physical world around them, they were being scientific. Your problem is that your definition of science is far too narrow.
Wow. You are so naive. The church isn't some evil conglomerate out to get you. How about no hospitals at all. Great job! No schools, cool! Nobody learns any science at all! On the libraries and orphanages, you're just being a huge moron.
What? You think they're doing it out of the kindness of their hearts? Grow up.
Not really. It's more like if you were in an office building and someone reaches into their coat. You can either assume it's business as usual or that he has a gun and fill him full of holes with your conveniently placed tommy gun. I'm the man right behind the man in the coat. And he's just a coat with a scarf hanging out of it.
How does that relate to what I just said?
You are an idiot. Who ever mentioned Mother Teresa? How about all the Christian hospitals nowadays? OPEN TO EVERYONE.
Mother Teresa was the picture of good will that the church endorsed. If that was good will, it leaves you to think.
holy shit guys get a life
Mother Teresa was the picture of good will that the church endorsed. If that was good will, it leaves you to think.
Define "The Church".
I'll be a son-of-a-bitch, you're serious. Religion is rarely taught in schools, and is certainly not a part of our society in the sense that it builds to it. Hospitals, well that is just too damn easy. Wallow in your ignorance. Science is the reason you are on a computer spreading your bullshit now, science is the reason the Bible was able to be printed on paper. God didn't hand it to us, respect human innovation.
The hell are you on about. I am talking about religious schools and hospitals. Read the prior context of my posts.
Carbon, you seem to be missing the point. I have never bashed science for anything, because it's almost as stupid as what you;re doing right now. But would you kindly explain to me what you have been doing for the past several pages?
You are an idiot. Who ever mentioned Mother Teresa? How about all the Christian hospitals nowadays? And meanwhile a bunch of less altruistic fucks are using the idea being proliferated by that nice church to bilk old ladies out of nickles and dimes and rape little boys.
dude OP, you are an idiot. what does mentioning religion on the internet and angering a monkey have in common? shit hits the fan. Religion and the internet DO NOT mix. it's your opinion, and your only, not in the hands of weirdos on the internet. unless your a very, very clever troll
Unless you're just being a paranoid git and you get someone else hurt due to your vast incompetence. I like you less and less the more I talk to you.
Trying something does not make you paranoid. Having faith in an idea and hoping for the best does not make you paranoid. Having a religion does not make you paranoid. God, where do you pull this stuff from?
Ok, fair's fair. But would you kindly explain to me what you have been doing for the past several pages?
I never made a text-scene or rage posted.
The hell are you on about. I am talking about religious schools and hospitals. Read the prior context of my posts.
You talked about the detrimental factors of science, then you proceeded to gift religion with the founding of schools and hospitals. Nice job addressing my points, though. Yes, the Bible is contributing to the decline of trees. We should make a Bible bonfire!
it could have but that's not the way it played out I mean I don't really see how the development of morals could've begun without religion as a starting point what else is going to get you to straighten up besides some big jackass in the sky telling you that you'll burn for eternity (or if you're a non judeochristian religion, say, come back as an eggplant in your next life)
Morals are a result of natural human emotions. Humans sympathize for other humans, and can learn naturally what is wrong and right. Religion can press these morals onto people, but that doesn't mean they created them.

Science: Nuclear Weapons Chemical Weapons Biological Weapons Drugs Religion: Charities Schools Hospitals Libraries/Records of the Past Orphanages
I was talking about this post listing what religion brought. READ THE CONTEXT Tell this guy to respect the marvels of technology because I love it. What I hate is when Religion produces perverted immitations of schools and corrupts knowledge to it's own liking.
You talked about the detrimental factors of science, then you proceeded to gift religion with the founding of schools and hospitals. Nice job addressing my points, though. Carbon, you didn't respond to my post. What exactly is "The Church"?
Faith is an irrational concept. Stop bringing it up like it defends your argument at all.
Theists have to argue with something, and seeing as faith is the only thing they have it's not like they have many options....
How does that relate to what I just said?
Because, you small minded little fool, your actions can't be summarized by pretty sounding rhetoric you heard on "Way of the Master". You hurt people with the best actions, and you help people with the worst of actions. But don't you fucking dare try to say that your statistically ridiculous possible salvation is worth the damage you do by being a thick headed fuck nugget.
Faith is an irrational concept. Stop bringing it up like it defends your argument at all.
So, strongly believing something is irrational? You seem to have faith in your atheism and your fridge logic. If that's so, then we have a bit of irony in this, don't we?
You can't fool God. If you go to Hell for not believing in Christianity, YOU ARE GOING TO GO TO HELL EVEN IF YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE IN CHRISTIANITY WHEN YOU TRULY DON'T. My advice: Don't believe in anything because someone told you to. Just believe in what you believe, whatever it may be.
The problem is that if you believe in Chirtianity or many other religions you only need to accept that there is the God and possibly follow tenants and according to their doctrines it really doesn't matter if you don't 'truly' believe.
Morals are a result of natural human emotions. Humans sympathize for other humans, and can learn naturally what is wrong and right. Religion can press these morals onto people, but that doesn't mean they created them.
And human emotions step from the evolutionary precursor to want to benefit our society and fellow human beings.
Religion is bullshit, and Christianity contradicts itself so much. Don't look for religion. Religion is a set of bullshit rules that people made because they thought that's how they should go about pleasing a god. Instead look for a relationship with this higher power if that's what you want. But religion just causes problems, and it's just constraining and useless.
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not lol) but isn't christianity, out of all the common religions, the one that has a nasty habit of changing everything at the drop of a hat to better suit the times and then proclaim it as the words of god? The one that's origins and break off from catholicism is dubious at best? It's easily the most contradictory of the common religions. IMO organized religion is stupid. Don't do it. Have your own thoughts on the matter, form your own beliefs. Why do you need to join a cult to be religious?
What a waste of trees.
Yes, because cultural history is fucking retarded amirite guys? I'm pretty agnostic by the way, before you start going all anti-jesus on me.
