I'd say its good to have a belief in youre life, it makes you think that something will happen after death. Would it be heaven, eternal sleep, reincarnation ect. as long as it's something that wont make you fear death. If youre going to choose Christianity then I recommend that you dont take the Bible literally, look at it as a symbol in what you believe in not as a rule book that you have to follow in every detail, like hating homosexuals and hate nonbelievers. People say religion is bad but thats bullshit, Buddhism and Taoism are great religions with great morals that you can follow.

It's your choice, I'm a christian but I'm no Evangelical or Catholic. I don't go to church regularily but I help people out and am a good person. You don't have to be an Extremist "do this or burn in hell!" Christian, be a casual christian if you want.

If you believe in Christianity, you already have your answer.

Personally, I'm a Jewish atheist, I like being jewish, lots of culture, great traditions.

If you think prayers will get you anything besides self calming and hope then I can tell you from experience you are horribly mistaken. Your not really going to get anything out of this besides a group of people who think simmilar thoughts some may tell you that you will get what you want in prayer and even the Bible clams it so but you will not I promise. I can give you the exact verse if you want.

You can have faith in God, but don't go to churches and all that shit for catholocism or something; those denominations are run by greedy old wankers
