See the way logic works is you believe things you know to be true, and for the rest you just sort of don't give a damn and wait for other people to find out. Or you can find out too if you're into that sort of thing. Rationality is sort of a vague concept. I don't like it that much. Thats going a bit far, and you saying that made me a little mad because thats a little silly to me. I have always gone through life thinking there was no god. I never thought there was a divine being giving me life. Why? Because i like things that make sense, and a magical man in the sky that no one can see that pretty much controls my life and can kill me at any time does not appeal to me. I can see "Atheism is not a natural state" being said by a preacher in a church to scare children into believing there is a god. Just like you can't proove that we aren't actually a planet riding on the back of a giant turtle orbiting the sun. But this turtle can not be found in any way, can not be seen, has no mass, and has been around forever. as long as you develop a strong and personal relationship with god (with no middle man such as the bible or a priest) go for it

If given long enough, you would probably develop your own belief of why you are on earth, or not care. This is what history has proven time and time again. Not everyone religion started out as a scam to make money. Some people really believed what they wanted to. If you go back to ancient cultures, they worshiped many non "being" things. The Sun, the Earth, the oceans.

But it's not usually insults. It's usually copy pasted arguments from a funny web comic they read once.
