The thing that sticks out are the puffs of dirt the shrapnel causes as it's hurling towards the camera. They are flat surfaced, which for me looks like it's some type of particle effect which has been pasted on and then duplicated in the video.
Because of this it's very hard to compare the slow motion shot with the first due to the amount of dust, hiding the trajectory of the door that flew more diagonally in the slow-mo than straight forward.
Yea?

yes
also note the grass before and after the foremost dirt impact plume

You know, cameras have zoom, so the cameraman could just be like 30 meters away

Along with a 30 meter boom mic?
didn't realize standing in front of a green screen nearly kills you
I do this shit everyday, FPS Russia is a pussy, I once took a car to the chest and lived, the car however didn't.

Or radio mic.....
didn't realize standing in front of a green screen nearly kills you
lmao people rating me dumb, you actually think this is real? the angles and scale seem way off, the tracking looks odd, and the camera's higher on his body than normal so it's easier to fake. The camera shakes more on the truck, he doesn't react at all to the blast. He isn't stupid enough to be this close to an explosion.

Ever heard of something called "zoom"? He isn't as close to the explosion as it looks like. It also explains angles, scale, tracking, camera's focus seeming odd and off, that's because of zoom distorting viewing perception.
Also, about the slow motion and actual view. On 3:44 you can see the door flying off, ricocheting off the ground, smaller (upper I guess) part breaking off. That's the piece we see nearly splitting the guy in half. I'm not saying we can estimate the trajectory though, but looks similar.
He almost never reacts to blast/explosions
Also he is that stupid

Like he has taken pepper spray to the face on purpose. Its all apart of his bad ass Russian persona he's trying to form
weird because in that video he clearly reacts to a much smaller explosion that's [del]further away[/del] about the same distance and he's not swaying everywhere as if he's being greenscreened
Usually you don't realize a giant piece of shrapnel whizzing right past you when it's moving way too fast. He probably reacted when the sound of the shrapnel flying past him actually caught up to him.

he sways in that video and he turns his head in the other, he basically reacts the same. he reacts at the end because his own fucking camera man just got shrapnel in his leg

how can you openly say that he does not react to the explosion

he clearly does, just because he doesn't immediately freak out when it starts doesn't mean it's faked. just means he doesn't have a insanely fast reaction time
I think it's real, because if you observe the gif, you can see his t-shirt reacting to the shockwave of the explosion.
It waves a little bit a few miliseconds after the car detonates.
Unless it's from the recoil of the gun?
Regardless, I'm leaning more on the side of this being real. Everything matches up perfectly, he's a big enough jackass to do something like that, and even if it's not real, it's not like it's such a big deal or anything and as far as I can recall he never said that 100% of everything he did had to be genuine footage.
okay I'll restate what I've been saying
the explosion(s)? real
the video of him shooting at the ute and having it detonate? real
the extra dust and shrapnel in the direction of the camera and the door? added in post production
yes, the camera is positioned and has its FOV reduced a hell of a lot (zoomed in) to make him appear much closer to the actual blast
the door, added shrapnel and dust is so clearly fake I'm not even going to bother - a more potent topic would be whether the slow motion footage and real time footage are even of the same explosion
in regards to the last poster's last comment - the only reason I'm bothered in the slightest by it being faked is because he had a massive popularity boost when his cameraman was almost killed by shrapnel, and its as if he's just putting this in to exploit that again
lol, watching people nitpick details is hilarious
'he looks to short its fake!!'

Please, bother with it for me. Because I've seen one hell of a lot of post-production explosions everywhere, as well as real explosions, both on media and irl. And I'm really interested in what makes you think this particular one is enhanced with some after-effects.
You guys are over-analyzing this... to the average viewers eyes, the explosion and shrapnel and that shit looks very real
I don't really see why you need to argue for 4 pages about it being CGI or whatever

that's just it - the explosion is not done in post-production, it is real
take a 1080p copy of the video and scrub through the real-time footage, one part that shouldn't take me any more pointing out is the second hunk of car door's impact with the grass - note the force of its impact, how much dirt it kicks up and then a handful of frames later how the grass is literally unchanged at all

gee you're right, hmm what else can we talk about?
oh I know; damn it he should have died/man he's lucky!

That, once again, can be explained by range distortion done by zooming in. The damage may be obscured by bumps on the ground, or by grass around that place... anything. The way it's filmed makes it quite hard to point something ill-looking out.
I'm not saying it's completely real. I just don't know, but currently I see no clear evidence against it.
It was real. He just lives in an action movie.
Well he doesn't react to the explosion because he plays a character...a badass Russian who doesn't give a give. So if he started bitching out like that he would break character. He only has one shot to get this in, so even his camera guy has to maintain a serious demeanor.
Usually Kyle shoots these things from downrange quite a bit, I was surprised he was so close.
I'd be scared to meet FPSRussia

The thing is, even FreddieW, who probably makes as much money as FPSRussia and has tons of VFX experience, has never made anything that looked nearly as real looking as that shrapnel and dust. And I highly doubt that FPSRussia just has some crack FX team hidden away, especially considering how badly done the quadrotor video was.
Just look at those really diffuse shadows the smoke casts on the ground, that kind of stuff, as well as the coloration and reflectivity of the shrapnel would be incredibly hard not to make stand out against the rest of the video if it were faked.
Looks fake as shit.

In this .gif the door looks very fake actually. It's trajectory seems artificial.
Probably because ragged pieces of metal change trajectory when hitting ground, especially when the ground is out of shot and the camera is zoomed in
Explosion seems real to me, same with the door. I dunno why, but half the time CGI seems to be really 'off-kilter' in frames compared to the footage around it, even for professional movies. And even if they did nail the framerate right, it certainly looks convincing enough in the actual footage. GIF makes it look kinda funky.
I think if it was faked at all, the explosion was real, the door flying passed was real, but he wasn't actually in the original shot, then they put him in later.
But I doubt it's fake, anyway. you can see the wind from the explosion ripple his clothing, and the big piece of door flew by the camera so fast it made it wobble a little bit.
Well, this will probably be his last video in.. maybe forever.
