You forgot about DEATHPROOF!!! that is a really fucked up sadistic version of Kurt Russel driving a stunt car.
Planet Terror. need i say more?
Also, i red the title as "Quentin Tarantino - The man, the Legend, The Game"
Planet Terror. need i say more?
That was Robert Rodriguez. Although the way they make movies is somewhat similar so it's not that big of a mistake.
Anyways, Quentin Tarantino IS my most favorite movie director and writer. I've seen every single one of his movies and fucking loved all of them.
Quentin Tarantino is so agressive in real life. But he's a DAMN good director.
What. Was in. The Briefcase.
One thing to add: He has a foot fetish!

Yeah I know I did, I said at the bottom of the OP that I will add it at another time, along with some pictures and stuff.
One thing to add: He has a foot fetish!
And you can really see that in his movies. Almost all of his movies have at least 1 scene that has an extreme close-up of some female character's feet.
Unobtainium frame MacGuffin device.
i don't see why everyone assigns so much quality to pulp fiction on the sole basis that it's "super deep dude, what about the briefcase??" when it's just a MacGuffin...
still, movie is pretty incredible, i just hate it when people try and figure out what is in the briefcase
I loved Inglorious Basterds. One of my most favorite movies ever.
Lando is the most :smug: bastard ever.
i can tell...
but what about:
ingmar bergman
werner herzog
jean-luc godard
alfred hitchcock
orson welles
paul thomas anderson
david lynch
fritz lang
the coen bros
stanley kubrick
darren aronofsky
those are a few off the top of my head
I've never really cared for Ingmar Bergman.
His films are very deep and artistic, but they aren't really entertaining. The other directors you listed tend to make films that are both artistic, and enjoyable.

yea i see what you mean, bergman films aren't exactly action packed
i'd say the most balanced of the ones i mentioned are probably the coen bros
He is extremely over-rated.
He is extremely over-rated.
Totally agree, but I really enjoy all of his movies. They never cease to disappoint. His use of gore always set the tone of a scene or for the whole movie. Like Kill Bill turned more comical and superheroish with the projectile squirt. In Pulp Fiction was the splatter. When Jackson accidentally shoots the guy in the car and the car turns red. I dig it.
Yeah, Tarantino is for sure the greatest living director. As for all time, I would probably say Stanley Kubrick. But Pulp Fiction is my all time favorite movie, the dialogue, story, themes, complexity, MUSIC, everything about it is just incredible, original, entertaining, and thought-provoking.
Kill Bill (1 and 2) are both incredible on their own, but put them together, and you have a masterpiece on your hands that does so many incredible things in the film medium. The scene were she was buried is one of the most well filmed scenes in a movie, ever.
Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs are both great. Death Proof was entertaining and fun.
True Romance, which he wrote, is also a complete masterpiece and basically perfect in every way.
Natural Born Killers was fucking retarded, but that wasn't his fault, blame it all on Stone.
So yeah, for sure the greatest living director, although the Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, Woody Allen, and David Fincher are all incredible too.

Yeah it was Travolta who shot him in the car.
He's a great director, but he's also a tremendous egotistical douche.

Yeah, I second that. :v:

When you are a great director you have the right to be :v:

The stolen diamonds from Reservoir Dogs :D
Thanks to this thread I am about to watch Pulp Fiction again.
Death Proof sucked ass and I'm not fond of Kill Bill, but everything else he has directed I've enjoyed.
He definitely has a really unique style of directing, that's for sure.
I've only seen Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Bastards and love them both. I couldn't bring myself to watch Kill Bill. I saw 10 minutes of it and thought it looked like the most cheesy, painful, embarrassing shit ever. I hate Uma Thurman so much. She looks so damn skanky.
I never saw Pulp Fiction. Watching it now.
I've only seen parts of I've only seen Kill Bill vol 1, 2 and Jackie Brown, and loved all of them
I really need to see Pulp Fiction
Inglourious Basterds was incredible. Absolutely awesome. I felt like I was watching a Jean-Luc Godard movie in places.
Then suddenly someone's head would explode and I'd forget that illusion.
