The Cat Discussion Thread V1 - Why do you only love me when it's food time? - General

We got our cat from the guy across the road; she was found at one of the houses this guy's real estate company manages when the tenants left. He brought her home but she didn't get along with the old cat that they already have, and she doesn't like kids (They have 3) so she started sleeping in our backyard. Eventually they gave up trying to keep her over at their place so she lives here now.

I have two kittys, tom and 'kitty' Kitty: [img]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/36648657/2012-05-27_21-37-07_936.jpg[/img] She fucking screams when you leave her alone for more than a couple hours and sleeps with me every night. Tom is just a regular all black cat, but kicks ass and kill shit and is just in general a cold, hard badass that loves a belly rub :v: I'm hoping to get another cat(a kitten actually) and name it turbo. Ive always wished for a kitty, but it sucks that my mom is allergic to animal fur.

I haven't had a cat for a while, but my mum used to breed burmese cats. There was a constant flow of adorable kittens with ridiculous voices, it was great.

Unfortunately, this is the best picture I have, I'll post a better one at some point He's also pretty much mute, he only meows when he sees someone come into the room when they've been out for a while, kind of like a dog. my cat's asleep on my bed at the moment but he's black as sin so if I took a picture he'd just look like a blob of gelatinous furry slime but whenever its day time and you find him asleep in a patch of garden outside, you can sit near him and he'll come out of his hole to plop down companionably beside you and rub against the grass he also has cat aids but he's a trooper

Man, cats are awesome. I've always wanted to get one, ended up getting a dog instead :v: I'm not complaining, since the dog is an awesome bastard, but I'd still love to get a cat.

Here's my cat Max: [IMG]http://filesmelt.com/dl/P1010090resize1.JPG[/IMG] I'm not exactly sure what breed he is since I got him from my local Humane Society, but I'm pretty sure he's part Maine Coon because he has quite a few traits for that breed. He's not really a cuddly cat. He likes being in the same room that I'm in, but if there are people he's unfamiliar with, he hides underneath my bed or my sheets.

Very VERY adorable, Wellie used to look all majestic like that at one stage :)

I have a kitty that is over 20 years old. (Probably a year older than that) According to my parents they found her outside 18-19 years ago, before I was born. Her name is Jezebel. I'll upload a pic when I get to it. She's still going strong, dunno when she's gonna go. I have 5 other cats as-well in the household.

My psychotic 2nd floor neighbors made me get rid of my 40 lb cat that I've had since I was one. Also my older sister's seven year old cat that she's had since it was a month old. Now I have to live with the thought that my cat will most likley pass living in someone else's house.

I used to have a cat when I was in the 3rd grade. Her name was Rosie and she was a tuxedo cat. She was the friendliest cat you'll ever meet, she never bit you or scratched you. I remember when she was still a kitten, my mom was walking her from the garage to the back yard through the house. I was asleep on the sofa in the living room and Rosie looks at me and jumps on the sofa and starts walking on me trying to wake me up. She had stepped on my stomach and that finally woke me up, my mom let Rosie take a nap with me. It was comforting to have such a cute furball fall asleep at your side. I still remember mornings when she wanted to follow me to school. But sometime near the end of my last days in the fourth grade she disappeared while I was at school. I still miss that little cat.
