Part of what makes the game awards interesting at least to me is that it's kind of a window that consumers can use to get a look at the perspective of people "in on" the industry.

With regards to Overwatch, it's more of a personal preference, I just like the gameplay of Doom over Overwatch, but Uncharted 4 is just another sequel with gameplay that is pretty much the same as the ones before it, an alright story, and is overall decent but not really award-worthy, certainly not GOTY award worthy. Nolan North did deserve the best voice actor award, no matter what you could say about the guy he did amazingly for Uncharted 4, but I think Firewatch deserved the best narrative award.
Still no sequel to Fall of Cybertron or Devastation. Instead we get shitty phone games.
