If you're using the built-in 3D Editor then you can watch these videos for some guidance.

Also, if you do intend to use the 3D Editor seriously then be sure that when you're done setting up an area that you save the mission, you're incredibly likely to have some objects get shifted around; just move them back and save it again and they will be fine when it's converted and such.
If you're using MCC then the Spacebar will place the object you currently have selected and X will bring up the menu to chose different objects. There should be a guide to the upper-right with the controls.

I painted my car red because red ones go faster, and it did go way faster. I doubt it was the tuned engine, it was definitely the red paint that made it go faster.

Any kind of mission like this would also help get some of our less familiar players better at moving as a team in CQC. Esp since it allows for small unit tactics that don't take an hour to end and lets IFAP PVP versus itself (aka you don't need 30 players)
