Oh god yes. The only issue with Taki life is that the server requires all PMC and Police to be in their TS channel. But you don't need to use it, just be there in case of major police calls.

Exactly. Zarg can be a clusterfuck, but Taki is just big enough to fit everyone doing their own thing, and still have conflicts (like the fucking checkpoints the cunt ass MP's set up on the road to the main city. 2500 dollars!)

Just a heads up we're probably gonna try out ACRE sometime soon. It [I]does[/I] require teamspeak, because if it were built off Arma 2's vanilla VOIP it'd suck, but I'm pretty sure everyone either already has teamspeak or downloaded it for the PVP last weekend. Me and niko were gonna try it out today but niko is nowhere to be found, but it seems to work and it should be interesting. If we end up wanting to we could use mumble for general chatter inbetween games and while gearing up if we're playing domi or something, text chat for miscelleneous shit during missions (say you're lagging or you need to go eat).
Does not mean it'll be permanent, but it should be excellent immersion wise and it'll encourage teamwork so one might not be tempted to run off without telling anyone (during less structured missions, EG domi).

Yeah it can. You just have to buy it. Most factories are enclosed, so you can run it like a monopoly if you want. Limitless amount of people can own the same factory technically, as far as I know.

ACRE isn't really complicated for the common infantryman either. It'll mean we'll need designated radiomen or as pseudo radioman with the squad leader possessing the long range radio. But for the common infantryman it's no more complicated than operating a walkie-talkie. Because that's pretty much what it is.

Will definitely help with communications too. We'll probably have a very simplified version of radio protocol and define a few keywords, but other than that won't be too strict. The local chat is [I]greatly[/I] improved, where you can actually talk to people around you and you don't need to broadcast what you want to say to 20 other people when you really only want to talk to two. And squad leaders/radiomen will hopefully be able to communicate through that to each other. Chain of command works for a reason, it'll help us stay cohesive and not cause [del]nose[/del] ear bleeds from everyone talking at the same time.
Again though, if we do use this hopefully we will switch to mumble when we just want to chill out. Just all stick in the mumble chat but mute and deafen when not using it or something.
