I bought OA and Arma II separately, but I thought that if you just ran OA with Arma II installed as well it recognized it as CO.
If they are both linked to steam you can right click OA and select Combined Ops.

You can also copy over your ARMA 2 files over to OA, that's what pooch did.

So, I'm kind of mixed up with ace controls. How do I store things in rucksacks, how do I heal people or myself, and how do I put in earplugs?
Why do you need earplugs?
Use louder sounds to make the loud sounds not break your ears.

By this logic: Break your eardrums so bad music and babies crying is no longer annoying.

Rucksacks in vanilla are kind of weird. If when you click the pack it says something like "open pack" near the bottom right of you gear screen then it's vanilla. To put things into the pack you have to first drop what you want to put in it, open your pack, and then put the shit you dropped on the ground into the pack, like how you'd pick anything up normally.
If it's an ace pack you just click the item you want to put in it and hit "pack" and it'll show up below the gear menu. Works like liquid apparently, because space in the pack and size of items is defined in cubic mms, unlike vanilla backpacks that work just by slots.
To heal yourself you have to order your medic to heal you if it's vanilla, or if the mission has some other healing script it'll just be in your scroll menu (you can heal yourself). Use F1-F11 to select your medic, then...TBH I can't remember exactly but it has to do with selecting your medic, searching around in the shitty squad commands menu until you figure out something that looks like "heal" or something.
For earplugs it's in the start menu. Press the right windows button, next to the start button, don't worry about the game minimizing, and it'll bring up the ACE self interaction menu. The ACE interaction menu (different) is the start button I believe, but you don't really have to use that until you play with us (they're for satchels, healing others and yourself with the ACE system, etc). When you're in there it should be under something like "face/mask." You have to have earbuds in your inventory though, which is a problem when you're playing vanilla and they don't spawn you with earbuds.
I tried the right windows key, but it didn't do anything until i aimed at a teammate, and then it brought up options to examine him or go through his gear.

Oh, then try start button. The start and windows buttons are how you interact with anything that's not in the scroll menu.

If by start you mean enter, then none of them work. I guess I'm destined to be constantly deafened by lmgs and rockets.

My keyboard's ancient, I don't have a key that looks like that. Brb, gotta go push all the buttons near right windows key.
I asked in the videos thread, but can I just buy the expansion to play facepunch arma, or do I need to buy both.
ok, found it

Woah fuck. You just made me realize that the start icon glows when you hover your mouse over it. Cooooool.

Oh, you can rebind it in the Ace options. Press esc. Ace options. Self interaction menu. Rebind it to some key you don't use.
[editline]19th July 2011[/editline]
You're actually lucky lol. That button in ANY other game minimizes it and opens the start menu.
Took me like an hour and a half to figure out there was TWO interaction menus.. Before that I didn't even know how to use the explosives or heal someone else within the ACE wounding system.

Do you have a mic?
I am up for some TF2 tonight.
what about
killing floor
.. tonight? it's like 12am for you
@ d3vil
I'm up for a game, but i'm not game for talking.
My mic cord somehow magically broke thanks to a tiny pin hole prick near the jack. I don't even touch the jacks so i have no idea how the fuck the hole got there. My only other mic is my webcam and it's very sensitive and picks up the faintest sound.
