The first round I played as assault I unlocked the ACOG and heavy barrel for the M16 as well as the defibrillator in one round and also went up three ranks. Assault is a points machine, especially on the American team because the M16 is a beast.
Also does anyone have a complete list of weapons that are confirmed to be in BF3 and when they're unlocked? I want to know when I can get the AS VAL, KH2002, F2000 and Sig 553.

As everyone complains about the mass amounts of bugs, I have only crashed once due to me making a really fucking stupid choice. I guess I'm lucky.
PS3. Never crashed. Worst i have had is ground clipping.

I never said I couldn't play it, it just stutters pretty often. And an FPS of 10-20 is pretty normal for me on ArmA 2 on Takistan; Zargabad or Chernarus are just hell. I'm not getting BF3 until I'm confident that my computer will be able to run it. End of.

Huh, it must be radically different on the PC, the AK 74m is a basic assault class Russian weapon on the PS3. You can only use it on the Russian side.
Yeah the starting rifles are faction specific but the unlock tree isn't.
