Well nothing to really show exactly. My fitness is wayyyyy above where it was when I started, but I didn't end up bulking at all.
My trainer who was in the military advised I wait until after training to even bother lifting as nearly everyone in there just does cardio the entire time. So for my basic training it'll just be fitness. But when I start my employment training I think they might ease up so I can focus on actual lifting.
But yeah as I said. My fitness is so far above where it was earlier and I actually feel healthy because I eat way less shit too. Also able to have crazier sex. So that's always good haha

Long story short. My life is better.
Sorry to bump this old mess but I'm back, I went overseas on a holiday and went pretty downhill. Had a brilliant time so that counts I guess.
Still reasonably healthy but when I got back I feel into old habits and sat on the computer playing shit for a few weeks. But today I gave my computer to my girlfriend. I think I have a serious addiction because I felt physically sick packing it up and I know that sounds pretty pathetic but ah well.
On to the point I've gotta get back and past were I was before, because in about 12 weeks I enlist. I got the job as an electronics technician by the way and haven't been happier.
I'm training every day at the moment and I know that's not really optimal for gains but I'm mostly working on overall fitness so I don't care too much about size and weight and stuff. Yet.
My goal for the next 12 weeks is to be better than I have been before.
Taking breaks isn't simply for gains, it's so that your muscles doesn't explode on you and land you in the hospital because you've never let them heal up.
Words of wisdom, still take breaks.

Yeah yeah, I mean as in having a rest day. I don't get rest days at recruit school so basically practicing. I am however giving the muscle group i focus on with weights a rest day. But not cardio.
Again I know it's not optimal for anything doing cardio and weights. But I need a bit of both not a lot of one.

If I'm going about it the wrong way please tell me.
The century old adage of "Cardio kills gains" is actually bullshit, it's usually thrown sarcastically. What really happens is that you burn more calories and so you just need to eat more to accomodate for it, that's it.
On this, it all depends on your goals, if right now your goal is military shit which is very focused around endurance, just say fuck muscles and start running until you die, you're doing nothing wrong. Just wanted to make sure that you were at least getting some rest, You might not tear a muscle from cardio but stuff like Shin splints and Stress fractures are not unheard of.
