It's important to note that nobody is a racist, a sexist, or a bigot. But you can hold racist, bigoted and sexist opinions and those opinions should not be respected.

This is another thing that bothers me about all this. He didn't literally say that. This is coming from this little back and forth, and I'm paraphrasing but this is what I remember:

Jon: "Black people commit more crimes"
Destiny: "And why do you think that is?"
Jon: "Well, I don't really want to go into that...that's a whole big thing"

Jon then kept saying "You're trying to trap me into saying something" and Destiny asked something like "Isn't avoiding the answer sort of implying what the answer will be?"

Again that's all from memory so it's not 100% accurate, but the reason people are saying Jon said that is because it really sounded like he was implying "because black people are genetically inferior". That's where that came from. But he did not "literally" say it.
