He wants ethnic purity for whites? He wants "white culture" to remain untouched by other cultures? (whatever that means...) Mexicans immigrate to America and wave the Mexican flag around? (they don't) Black youth wasn't directly affected by Jim Crow laws so why do they commit crimes?

JonTron got on a talkshow about his political views and to many people came off as a racist. I'll try to summarize him as neutrally as possible, but it was a pretty long-winded and emotional debate full of side-tracking and etc etc you get the idea I tried my best:
As I understood it, JonTron basically ties culture to ethnicity/race/genetics and doesn't believe that integration of immigrants is working nearly as quickly as immigration is currently happening. This supposedly leads to a high number of immigrants insisting on preserving their old culture and refusing to adapt to the new country. His horror scenario is that immigrants are gonna flood the USA and dilute its white gene pool and associated white culture that shapes current-day America. Without its traditional white majority, America would become a shitshow resembling the miserable countries that immigrants were originally trying to escape from.
To support his view he points towards Japan, which to him is a country working very well due to very low immigration, as well as towards Europe, which to him is a mess because people didn't heed his advice and didn't strongly limit immigration in order to carefully preserve the existing racial majorities of their countries that define their culture and national identity.
Destiny meanwhile argues that Europe and Japan are completely different cases from the US, and that the American problems JonTron is worried about should be handled by reducing crime and improving integration in general, not by shutting out a certain culture/religion/race/ethnicity or making sure one of them stays the majority. He wouldn't mind if whites became a minority, because American culture to him isn't dependent on how many white people are a part of it, but he would mind if the US isolating itself caused economic stagnation or even regression, and potential loss of its world-influencing position.

He is a fairly good debater. He may come across as obnoxious to some because of his energetic personality, but that's just who he is - he was the same when he was playing StarCraft professionally. He openly invites people on to his stream who know more on particular topics than he does, and especially those who have differing opinions. He's said in the past that he wouldn't think it would make for interesting viewing if he invited people on who shared the same views as he does. He definitely isn't a know-it-all, and certainly doesn't try to come across as that.

It honestly sounds like both of them had pretty understandable views that were just relayed incredibly poorly and blown way out of proportion by the internet outrage machine after being reduced to soundbites that make either side sound like a lunatic in order to appeal to a specific audience.

We can agree that Trump didn't properly roll it out so that people who are from countries that are not banned can easily enter the USA.
But its not a race ban when over 80% of said "race" can still enter.
