This data doesn't show the rate of people committing homicide, it shows the rate of victims of homicide. So wealthy african americans are twice as likely to get murdered as poor white americans. I hated that situation because I don't like seeing people act like animals, and even if the overwhelming majority of people involved in Ferguson were white I'd still be pissed off about it. Ferguson didn't make me hate black people, but in the grand scheme of things I doubt it has helped them. But it can't be used as a counter to the "wealthy blacks commit more crimes than poor whites" argument, because it doesn't share any data on who is performing the crimes, only who the victims are.

Also makes sense that in different areas you're going to have higher or lower percentages of certain ethnicities. Per capita doesn't mean anything, like you said. It's just something to be expected with population density and minorities. What gets me the most about Jon's argument is when he says "just look at Africa". Dude what????? Africa is Africa, and this is America. He didn't even try to back that up with anything that has substance. There are 100 other things he could have said that would've been a stronger supporting argument than that. That alone really makes me feel like he's just super uninformed. I really, REALLY wish he had never made that gene pool comment. If he didn't I would just be feeling that he's dumb, but that comment really adds a huge negative connotation to his personality. I'm not going to stop watching his stuff...but it's just very surprising.
