This is so dumb. It's clearly a thing that he regrets incredibly deeply and guilt-tripping him for it is absolutely pathetic. Whether he is or isnt responsible for his friends death is impossible to know for sure and it doesnt fucking matter.
By telling others to kill themselves, including a 16 year old romanian boy. Actually, where is video where he did that?

OH WAIT, HE REMOVED IT JUST NOW? Can someone please check this for me because I seriously can't believe this.

He's playing league right now though.

Oh my god.
Thats not the same situation as "My friend divulged his suicidal tendencies with me and after several discussions I told him it was up to him. Biggest regret of my life"
This isn't a video game. Not to mention I'm pretty sure in America, you need congress to declare an official war.
It wasn't meant to be taken literally and could apply to anything
if I accidentally broke everything in a china shop, causing it to go out of business and the owners to become homeless, afterwards expressed how sorry I was for doing it, and then some time later made a joke that I'd do it again or some shit, would that be considered ok?
He told someone that its their choice to kill themself. Then he regretted it and thats ok and human and I would forgive him. Then he tells someone to kill themself. That is 100% not ok.
If someone became president and accidentally started a war, and then afterwards told everyone about their mistake and how wrong they were
would it be ok if they made a joke afterwards about starting a war?
This is an awful analogy. Destiny did NOT tell his friend to kill himself, he told him that he would keep the conversation private and that he could choose what he wanted to do and that he wouldnt stop him. There's a pretty obvious difference.
Thats not the same situation as "My friend divulged his suicidal tendencies with me and after several discussions I told him it was up to him. Biggest regret of my life" and then "Makes an insult by telling someone to off themselves because I'm obviously mad and irrational"
The problem is he admits he fucked up but he's still telling people to kill themselves despite having firsthand experience with it.
This isn't a video game. Not to mention I'm pretty sure in America, you need congress to declare an official war.
We havent done that since like, Korea.
I do see your guys' point here, though. Given his experience he should know better than to flippantly say stuff like that. I hope he apologizes for it.
Okay, I really think some of you are gaining this perception that he encourages suicide because this is your first exposure of him.
He's well aware of his habits of saying things, that he tries to cut back on. He's tried to say faggot less, as well as autism (which I think his son has).
I mean, he acknowledges it by even posting it on his own channel.

I didn't say that he said that so I'm not sure where this is coming from?
I didn't say that he said that so I'm not sure where this is coming from?
The issue was that within your analogy you drew the problem from someone joking about the exact same thing that they were guilty of. Destiny has been saying variations of "kill yourself", which was not the original mistake he made.

sounds like a 10/10 father, almost telling his autistic son to kill himself on reflex

yeah but come on this is splitting hairs
destiny says a lot of shit he shouldn't
yeah but come on this is splitting hairs

It's not splitting hairs, its a fundamental issue with the core of his analogy.
Agreed with the second part, though.

I'm not sure about that video, it was on his subreddit and it was deleted, but there's still this

i think it's really funny people call censorship when he dmcas clips of his content when he has it all uploaded on his youtube channel
If anyone has some time here's destiny doing a small recap today. He explains that he gets triggered when people slights poor people.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/129423763?t=55m25s I would say watch to around 5 minutes in game time (top right) if not longer. (main recap starts at 57:00)

He's a single parent, bound to feel stress sometimes. Plus, he didn't actually say it. That video's very much reflective of how open he is with his viewers, especially since he says "kill yourself" quite a few times on stream. It's a dangerous habit that he's aware of.
[editline]...[/editline]
Was also paying child support to his ex, which he was funding through his streaming (as well as his source of income). I'm not sure how child support works, but I think that was 2 or 3 years ago I became aware of that.
Oh twitter, you slay me.

The funny thing is that one of Destiny's fans actually made that for him :v:

Couple corrections to make as a certified Destiny dickrider,
1. His son isn't autistic (he did have a speech issue that was remedied by surgery, used to throw a lot of people off)
2. He is not a single father, he and his son's mother are no longer together but are on good terms.
damn this thread went around quick
he's super fucking wrong and dumb on this animator shit but you guys sure went from loving him to decrying him as an insufferable manchild and it's barely the end of the week
Uhh.... So that's dark.

*NOT DEFENDING THIS* but Destiny was getting harassed every day for months at that point. It's not like he just exploded at some idiot.

1. o ok, I could have sworn that was his reasoning for wanting to stop saying "autistic" so much.
2. Right - I might be getting her and another woman mixed up, I'm sure he was with some whacko for a while (or some of his anti-fans trolling him when he was trying to get dates on Tinder).

as someone who works in childcare part time and has been responsible for 5 children at a time when 4 of the 5 kids were having tantrums, when you get stressed out you need to take a moment to calm down
I can see the stress argument from a tantrum POV but it was his kid making a normal joke for a 6 year old
the fact that he pays child support is neither here or there, im not calling him a deadbeat, im saying that if his first reaction to a normal joke is to almost tell his kid to off himself then he needs help
the dangerous habit thing is bullshit, I work with people who swear like sailors and I swear quite often as well, none of us have ever come close to calling little Jacob a cunt or telling little Moses to shut the fuck up. It's a habit outside of work but inside work and near kids, we dont do it because we can actually moderate ourselves like normal human beings.
It got deleted, what was it?
It was a video of Destiny rocking side to side talking about how he had planned and was close to killing someone.
what the fuck is going on anymore, it seems like the worst possible thing is happening in anything political nowadays every single time
everything's calming down and it seems like most people are begrudgingly accepting that Jon said something so messed up it can't just be let go, people are waiting for his response- and then Destiny has a full-fledged fucking meltdown insulting people and shitposting nonstop and now nobody gives a fuck about Jon anymore and I guarantee you there are people out there that have fallen back to Jon's side just because Destiny's being a moron in this separate argument
I'm not sure this could have conceivably gone much worse
The fact that several youtubers say "Kill yourself, dawg" in jest should alert your ears to why the stuff you're saying is dumb. The phrase is common because of it's utmost severity since it gets the point out. That's the entire point of Youtubers saying it in the first place. It implies that the subject is a piece of shit.
Destiny saying that when he's mad has nothing to do with his friend's fucking death and bringing it up makes you look like a moral high horsing jerk who can't distinguish between reality and bullshit.
You would think that he said some specific insult about how his friend was killed by a Stingray but no. It's something dumb like him using a common insult in which the only issue is his pass.
His friend killed himself and he told someone to kill himself. That isn't specific enough for you? what does an insult being common even have to do with anything?
I don't tell people to kill themselves in anger. Just because I live around racists, doesn't mean I'll, for example, make racist remarks either.
Maybe all these twitter manchildren should stop spouting jokes about autism then because I know tons of people that would take offense. Or does it not matter because they don't know anyone suffering from severe autism?
You dislike my analogies and ok fair but you can't cause someone to become autistic by telling them "It's their choice", it's not the same thing at all.
I don't really care about that detail either because I've never personally done that, and I don't agree with them doing it either yet turning around and saying "That's too far" for something else
Shit like this always needs good context. Everything, no matter how offensive, is OK with the CORRECT context.
Hence the term official war
And maybe that argument would work when he isn't pissed off and reacting like a pissed off person would. He's not rationally saying "kill yourself" and everyone knows it because we literally saw Destiny's dumb fat face red while he spit out an entire mixtape of shit at PsychicPebbles over a tweet.
You know what you do instead of bringing up his friend's suicide as a petty jab? You tell him to chill out because he sounds like a bellend when he's mad. Instead of guilt tripping him for a dumb petty internet argument.
I can't disagree with that. It's not reasonable for HIM to be using that but I don't agree with waving it in his face over and over either. You know what I mean?
