I was working on my car, years ago. Had just bought a hydraulic jack and jack stands. Was going to change the fuel filter.
I jack up the rear axle, and crawl underneath, holding the jack stands I was going to put under the axle to support the car. Just then, the oil seal on the jack blew out, and the car came down on me. Fortunately, I had not taken off the wheels yet. The car stopped less than a couple inches away from my face. Scared the crap out of me, but I was unharmed.
Spent the next 3 weeks fighting with the auto store to return the jack.

My dad actually managed to drop a 6,000Lbs. car on his face when I was 3. He managed to walk away with only a broken nose somehow.
I tripped and fell with my back on a rock. I stopped breathing for a few seconds.
Also I got hit by a car on a crossing. He braked just in time though, I jumped on his bonnet to avoid getting ran over.

Eh, lucky it was only 3 tons. I've had several close calls with my car. The whole car is armor plated. Its original weight is 3 tons, and now with the armor, it's close to 8 tons. I've had 3 jacks break under the weight, so I had to buy a small shop quality jack.
My left lung collapsed 90% in an instant, spontaneous pnuemothorax. Happens to tall skinny guys for some reason, they don't know why. I had to go into emergency surgery before it pressed my heart into my other lung and collapsed it. The surgery involved driving a spike into my chest without any anesthetic period. You can't knock someone out who can't breath properly. So I got to feel every bit of it. I didn't cry but I'm damn sure I fractured the gals hand who was holding mine. I was laid up in the hospital for a week, this was last year.

This happened in Iraq
We were doing a dismounted patrol. We received intel that an abandon house was holding bomb making material. We stack up in the door. I am the first man up. We bust down the door and i go in weapon at the ready. I go about 10 feet into the building and out from around a door way steps a man who brings his fist up like he's about to cold cock me in the face. Instead of probably shooting the bastard like I should have, I bring up my leg and Spartan kick this asshole in the chest like King Leonidas. He falls flat on his ass with the wind knocked out of him. The next team that comes in put the guy in flex cuffs and takes him out. After clearing the house we find a few Ak-47's, 81mm mortars shells, wire, batteries, all the things you need to make a bomb. After exiting the building my buddy comes up to me and says "Holy shit T.K.! That was the most badass thing I have ever seen! You kicked the shit out of that fucker!"

Yes, he was caught driving down the freeway attempting to flee the state about 1/2 hour later. He freaked out, I guess. And after a 2 month court case, he was sentenced 25 to life on attempted murder. And thank you, I try and cope with it as best as I can.
I fell asleep in the car without closing the door all the way and when I woke up the door was wide open and I held on for dear life.

A long time ago (long time being maybe 2-3 years ago) I was hanging out with some friends in a play structure when we decided to just fuck around and play on it. I was standing at the top of the slide, and next thing I know everything is black, then I wake up with my friends around me.
They told me that I slipped forward, face first into the slide, then fell onto the ground. From the way they described it, I could have easily broken my neck.
I don't like play structures anymore.

I know you had every right to, but surely your friend must have understood that if someone is willing to trespass on land, they may be willing to commit other crimes? In my personal experience, it's never a good idea to provoke someone you don't know, guy could be a complete mental.
