Nukes would prolly destroy the mineral they are trying to mine. Plus, the environmental effects of a Nuke are pretty high, and considering how long it took to get there I doubt they can just send a nuke there. That kids, should be seen as a danger to human kind. Beside, not like the space bastards live on every freaking deposit, not every deposit is based upon ecology. Beside, it is the future. not all nukes are nukes. Vacuum bombs, fuck yeah! Use it, deploy troops. commence clearing of entire regions, either through blitzkrieg or slow turtling.
Am I the only one rooting for the humans? No really, like if I give a shit about the Xenos' ideals, they have resources we need so it's either move your ass or be killed. Sadly it seems that most directors don't have the balls to have the "bad" guys win. No, I haven't seen the movie yet (nor have I read any spoilers), but I'm pretty damn sure that the humans are defeated.
Thank god President Jackson moved those fucking Indians away so we could move in. Stupid redskins, getting in the way of our manifest destiny. You are a fucked up dude. I guess we should tear down the rainforests for cattle farms, too?

I actually saw it not an hour ago. It was one of the best movies I've seen in my life. Don't fuck it up by seeing it not in 3D.

Why make shit harder with nuclear fallout. On top of that, how can one justify building and sending something as powerful as a nuke to a planet that poses absolutely no threat to the good of humanity on Earth?
Best movie I've seen since the Matrix.
Best movie I've seen since the Matrix.
You haven't seen very many movies then, have you? So I was correct in saying it is in fact Pocahontus?

Anyway, no one forced you to use nuclear bombs. It is the goddamned future, there are eco-clean alternatives to such things (hell, there are now). Beside, nukes are actually pretty easy to develop in the modern world (main reason why US is afraid of Iran getting nuclear research going). And since it is the future... that and the company probably has some great spokesmen. And didn't they aliens fuck with human spaceships and whatnot. Bad aliens! Bad!
I wanted to see it in 3d but the people I was going with didn't want to. Fuckers said it hurt their eyes.
This movie was unbelievably awesome.
I just finished watching it in 2d. Is it worth watching again in 3d?
Movie was that fucking awesome, I just had one problem, and this is probably nitpicking [sp] Why would the Nature, Etwya, or whatever, just wait until the hundreds of murders of the Na'avi and their falling of their tree, THEN send in the animals in? Couldn't he/she sent the creatures in during the attack? What kind of loving God is this? [/sp]

Would of been less cinematic if [sp]the Na'vi lost nothing, Tsu-tay (or whatever his name was) lived, and there was no "final battle" between Jake and, as he was referred to among my friends, Prick with Cut Face.[/sp] Of course, you probably already figured that much, but whatever.
I just finished watching it in 2d. Is it worth watching again in 3d?
Yes, very much so. I found 2D rather unoriginal and boring, and that was my first time watching it.
HOLY SHIT I can't say anymore. The 3D made it fucking incredible.
Some parts were so infinitely badass that I couldn't help but shout "HOLY SHIT!" while watching at the cinema. Seriously, the part where [sp]the payload was almost dropped out of the ship and it was literally falling out the back, then whatshisface lands on top of the ship, chucks a grenade in the engine, causing the ship to tilt and the payload to SLIDE BACK INTO THE SHIP AND EXPLODE THE WHOLE THING.[/sp] Loved it.
I just got back from seeing this movie. It was probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while, if not the best movie I've ever seen.
I wanted to see it in 3d but the people I was going with didn't want to. Fuckers said it hurt their eyes.
It hurt my eyes too. I regret seeing it in 3D.
as he was referred to among my friends, Prick with Cut Face.
I referred to him as "Duke Nukem".
I'm not sure about this whole "3D revolution" though. I mean, sure, someone like James Cameron can pull it off, but now we're stuck with at least 2 or 3 years of hack imitations trying to recapture the magic of this film and to top it all off, real filmmakers who aren't spending 250 million on their films aren't going to bother using 3D, as it merely distracts people from the storyline. Don't get me wrong, I liked AVATAR. The storyline and dialogue was pretty awful, but it LOOKED amazing, but I just can't see anything like this ever coming out again.
Just saw it in 3d, awesome movie. I went to the digital theater so the 3d would look like it's supposed to. You get used to it fast, and it makes the movie really immersive.

The closest IMax from here is about 110 miles away, and this depresses me.
I saw this in 3D and it was absolutely incredible. I used to not be able to choose a favourite movie but this is now my favourite. Was worth the wait too. :D
HOLY SHIT That was the greatest CGI I have ever seen. [sp]The mountains reminded me of Xen[/sp] :v:
I tried the Zune thing on 360 on friday. Saw an exclusive Avatar clip. Watched it. Decided I don't want to see Avatar or anything made by James Cameron.
Wait a fucking second! [sp]How did human loose so much, if it was just a single corporation? Surely, the actual human army could have easily DEMOLISHED THE FUCK OUT THE PLANET? Even then, the Humans almost won, they killed most of the Na'vi.[/sp] [editline]10:24AM[/editline]
Wait a fucking second! I don't know about you guys but I spent a good 30 minutes looking for a glimpse of alien boobs. I saw some nipples here and there.
