Never seen it. Which is odd, because my friend worked on it.
:allears:
General Badass kicks open airlock doors. General Badass doesn't need any of that sissy oxygen to live. General Badass's Mech has two knives. The general is a BAMF.
There were quite a few instances where I exclaimed how awesome the General was, namely because he was designed as a one-dimensional General Badass (which is awesome.)
:allears:
I think he did the story boards or something.
No it's not. It would be if this was a stupid action movie, but it wasn't a stupid action movie.
They needed at least one badass human in the film. All the others were either just whining scientists or ruff 'n tuff mercs. General Badass was pretty much the representation of the destructive nature of humanity, he was the best character in the film. Weaver made out to be a disturbing Na'vi, right?

Great movie, I enjoyed it very much. Until my friend commented, "Yeah that happened to the English the first time too. Didn't stop them from coming back."
Great movie, I enjoyed it very much. Until my friend commented, "Yeah that happened to the English the first time too. Didn't stop them from coming back."
That just makes me hope for a sequel where the humans come back and orbital strike their asses.
Also the humans have horrible military planning.
I enjoyed Dances with Avatars
I just watched it last night, and it was fucking amazing. The visuals were incredible, and I didn't have any qualms with the dialogue or story. I must confess, though, I was surprised that they managed to work an alien sex scene in there. I'm not complaining, of course. :q:. But that doesn't make it less...odd. Also, to those of you who were rooting for the humans to win, think about what it would have meant for the Na'Vi. Total annihilation or enslavement. The humans were not there for the better, and they will most likely return. The end of the movie left it open for a sequel.
So?
Humans were assholes.
Humans were assholes.
That pretty much sums up the entirety of their characters.

As the flamewar rages on, this movie's main focus was not the whole recycled good v. bad story. It was immersion and a story of revolution not a multimillion dollar softcore furry movie though i bet many have gone to see the movie on that premise. If you read the script the detail and plot really shine but at the plot's speed the movie would be insanely long. I could go on and on about how the movie is amazing and horrible, but all i ask is to read the plot even a bit of it and see what cameron really wrote not the watered down movie that was made to fit the masses. the movie to me was really just a visual explanation to better visualize the plot. sorry for the wall on txt writing this on my razr. also i really enjoyed the movie and want to see more of pandora now. also i would totally bang natyri shd was actually made seductive on purpose just another example on how the movie was changed for the mas ses, and not nerds, but in a good way this time.:downs: Also wtf chip hazard strikes again?
