As the flamewar rages on, this movie's main focus was not the whole recycled good v. bad story. It was immersion and a story of revolution not a multimillion dollar softcore furry movie though i bet many have gone to see the movie on that premise. If you read the script the detail and plot really shine but at the plot's speed the movie would be insanely long. I could go on and on about how the movie is amazing and horrible, but all i ask is to read the plot even a bit of it and see what cameron really wrote not the watered down movie that was made to fit the masses. the movie to me was really just a visual explanation to better visualize the plot. sorry for the wall on txt writing this on my razr. also i really enjoyed the movie and want to see more of pandora now. also i would totally bang natyri shd was actually made seductive on purpose just another example on how the movie was changed for the mas ses, and not nerds, but in a good way this time.:downs:
Aww for a few seconds I thought we had a topic we could all agree on (Colonel is Chip Hazard) Back to the flame war.
You know what.
You're absolutely right. Like, not even jokingly. They're the same fucking character.
THE GENERAL FROM AVATAR IS CHIP FUCKING HAZARD. Wow. That's... wow.
Hah, my friend pointed out the same thing while we were watching and we couldn't stop laughing until someone told us to sshh.
I didn't like it.

Hey, that reminds me. Wasn't that one guy's Avatar standing next to him at the end?
You know, the guy who's Avatar gets shot.

Hey, there's this awesome new thing that's becoming the latest craze, it's called glass!
Hey, there's this awesome new thing that's becoming the latest craze, it's called glass!
I don't remember glass on the side doors...
Or maybe it's just the front wind shield and it's the angle.

Perhaps, still though...weren't the doors open in this scene?
It's essentially a futuristic huey so I assume the cockpit and bay are concentrically connected, might be wrong though.
I shed tears when [sp]the tree was getting shot and destroyed[/sp].
That movie was beautiful (I actually mean beautiful.) That 3D was brilliant and it wasn't some shitty gimmick. Every time I saw one of those big outdoor views it sent chills down my spine. I was on the edge of my seat almost the entire time.
How did you like Chip Hazard.

This.
This.
Maybe I would have shared your opinion if I wasn't busy refocusing my eyes due to the fucking 3D effects.
I saw it without 3d, I knew it would be annoying.
I found the movie amazing, storyline was a tad generic, but besides that it was fucking insane.
General Badass kicks open airlock doors.

I was saying that the whole movie, he is a fucking badass mo fucka.

Native to this planet, they are very hard to kill.

I went cross eyed multiple times.
Native to this planet, they are very hard to kill.
I bet that reference to "naturally occurring carbon fiber" just meant plastic.
Hell, they were fake enough.
I've watched it yesterday, on 3D. It was really cool, even if the story is a bit generic.
Whatever, some perv on a french forum just kept two things from the whole things : the romance scene between the two protagonists and the na'vi tits >_>

The hell?
That bitch was as flat as a well tended lawn. In every way.
He actually found the blue nipples sexier than "normal" ones or something like this.
And I also wondered how strange (and perverted) this guy was...
BTW, according to this same guy, there's already rule 34 on na'vis... Wait, WHAT ?
There was most likely 34s of the Na'vi before the movie even came out.
Welcome to the internet, leave your sense of reason at the door and enjoy your stay!

The first artworks of na'vis (I don't mean 34 ones, but the "real" ones, designed for the movie) were... huh... not that human (but they were still fucking giants anyway).

Well duh, that was concept art. I mean some OTHER people likely made 34s of them before the movie came out, as in as soon as they saw them they were like "Damn, dat ass" and scribbled away. It happens with nearly everything these days.
Yeah, I know the internet, thanks
Awesome movie, the bitch next to me was fucking crying at all "emotional" moments.
Anyone other glasses wearing nerds here hate using the 3D glasses?
MY FUCKING EYES
Also I had to keep pushing them up every ten minutes.
Goddangit.
Also saw District 9 last night, a lot of people are comparing it to AVATAR but it's far better.

Yeah me too (I don't wear glasses though), it's just irritating I don't see why I should go through all the trouble for a 3D effect (it's not real 3D), even if Avatar had better 3D than any movie up to now.
I'll wait for holographic screens, a 3D illusion isn't worth a headache.
Strangely enough the Nvidia 3D vision (or whatever it was called) didn't cause me any problems, maybe it's the size of the screen I don't know.
I saw Cameron's first foray into 3D a few years ago, when I saw Terminator 2:3D in Universal.
That was 20 minutes long and I felt sick after that.
Imagine 3 hours of Avatar.
MY BRAIN
