Movie still looks incredible, I'm disappointed in the regard that I thought the "Avatar" in question was one of those mechs.
Also, I have to admit it looks somewhat furry, but Cameron probably made the race look like that to make them more empathized with the audience (the more humanoid look.)
At least they don't have fur.

My opinion; if you think of them as aliens (like they are) and not furries (like most people here will assume) the movie will probably be more enjoyable.
Besides, this doesn't really fit the concept of a furry anyway, since I don't really know of an animal that can be anthropomorphisized to look like one of the Na'vi.

I'm also disappointed at how there was virtually no dialogue at all in that trailer.
The film does have a beautiful look to it though.

yeah let me know if it looks any better. but otherwise I'd say i've lost most of the interest I had in this movie. i was expecting something much more realisitc looking, in terms of the aliens that is.
I was expecting something more awesome from James Cameron, not this.
I was expecting a paralyzed guy walking around in Power Armor (What those mechs pretty much are) killing aliens before finally realizing they are not that bad at all, then fighting back against the invaders.
Instead, we get a paralyzed guy in an alien body, fighting against the invaders with other aliens who look a tad too cartoony. Besides, we all know the movie is going to pull a District 9 on us in the end.
yeah I was expecting something much better too. Just doesn't seem like the type of movie I'd normally be interested in. I'll probably still see it though, if it gets a good response when released.
Shit, now that I'm looking at it, it has a resemblance with that shitty cartoon movie called 'Delgo':

Edit: Also, the prop CG sucks ass, but the environments look fucking epic.

To be honest, I have a feeling if you adjust to the difference (maybe that's the point all along) you'll get past the annoying cartoony/fairy look.
Wasn't one of the themes of this movie about how radically different the Na'vi are from Humans? Maybe Cameron (knowing he's smart enough to do this) deliberately made them cartoony/fairy.

Exactly what I was thinking, the characters may look cartoony but, like everything, an hour or so into the movie you'll adjust.
Hmmm I think I can still adjust to the style, it still looks pretty awesome and I'm still pretty optimistic for it.
The trailer sure was pathetic.
Yes, it does look rather "childish" and "furry", but it still looks awesome. And i'm still going to watch it.

It was a typical James Cameron Trailer.
Really, I've never seen a Cameron Trailer that made sense, or showed anything substantial about the movie.

I think it looks pretty good.
It was a good trailer that did not spoil anything or show off the best scenes.
Unlike.. Terminator Salvation.. that ended up sucking monkey ass even though they made the best trailer ever. :|
Also, I think that this trailer was designed to fish girls to see this movie, I mean it'll be a long ass movie, there will be plenty of action and bad ass scenes for sure.
