you guys obviously don't know how hard it is being a samurai warrior
lets go naruto san
Ok guys, thread over, go home.
The reason why weeaboos are poor in Japanese class is because Anime over-exaggerates most pronounciation of words for effect - the weeaboos imitate this in class and do poorly.

lol
i'm in German level 2, but i want to learn a third language eventually
maybe french or Russian or Spanish
i would try to learn Japanese later when i have the tongue movements and stuff from other languages down
German 1 Honors here.
I've taken about 9 years (or 5 depending how you look at it) of Spanish and I must say, German is a much better language to learn
EDIT:
Down here in the southwest, we don't have many Weeaboos, at least in my area. But we have a lot of obnoxious Mexicans. Don't get me wrong, my best friend is Hispanic but it peeves me to no end when all i can hear is "JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA Twillight es mucho loco y frijo!"
Don't, learn the great language that is English to its full extent.
fuck nippon, go hangook!
But weeaboo isnt a word,

I can't in any way compare it with Japspeak but to suppose that English is in any way great?
Bwahahahaha.

It's the language most commonly used to trade and discuss worldwide topics (at the UN and such). It's quickly becoming the "Common Tongue".
Fuck english, fuck japanese, learn korean or spanish
English has too many rules and japanese has a retarded alphabet.
Korean has a master alphabet and the easiest grammatical system in the world
Spanish has a few grammatical rules but they're easy to remember
Oh god that reminds me of the anime expo about 4 months ago :ohdear:
I dare say that weeaboos haven't probably tried to learn Japanese but got bored/frustrated because the characters don't have large enough eyes.
who cares
i had to learn english even though i prefered not to
and god damn that was hard i kept mixing up words
Okay so I am in fact an Otaku not a "fujoshi" as some girls at my school call them selves which I hate yaoi o-o so I rarely talk to them, only when they ask me to draw them yaoi couple fanfiction ;___;. and I get called a weeaboo because I make comics that of the Anime/Manga Style (not right to left of course) and I read tons of Manga to help me excel with my comics and I'm good too but I dont get why people call me a weeaboo, and yes I am taking Japanese classes because I really want to meet some famous mangakas and not sound like an idiot talking to them about their mangas. hmmmmmm =~= does this count me as a weeaboo really?
Sometimes I stare at the sky and think to myself that maybe somewhere out there is a multiverse where everyone shares each others hobby. The only one being their love for anime.
As a half-Japanese individual myself, and having not read this thread at all since the first post, I totally agree.
I used to like anime until that turning point where all anime suddenly sucked, and Final Fantasy 7 was suddenly the biggest anime ever.
I liked anime when i was 9, you all need to grow up

Last I heard three years wasn't that long ago.
I once thought about trying to learn Japanese so that I could watch raws, but then I realized that it takes a lot work and effort to learn a new language.

liking Japan and enjoying some of the anime is one thing.
obsessing over anime without knowing jack shit about Japan, while blatantly raping the language is another thing
you, sir, can rest easy

Otaku is the same as weeaboo. Just otaku is a japanese person, weeaboo is the rest.

I think the defining difference is that a weeaboo is blissfully self-ignorant. Otaku (at least in Japan) are self-aware and mostly proud of their culture. That's how it feels to me, anyway.

Fuck conjugation and accent marks, learn Swedish. :sweden:
the whole en/ett thing is a lot less logical than el/la though. There are pretty much no rules to when you use one and when you use the other.
but naruto teaches me all i need to know about glorious nihon~
