I'm pretty sure juggernaut game characters like Mario or Master Chief will get some sort of cameo rather than a background character.
If I see TF2 characters on the big screen I will probably shit my pants in the cinema.

You forgot the fact that he'll most likely have a love interest, he faces a bigger antagonist he defeats, and is treated like a hero by everyone who used to hate him. But the cameos do look neat though.
To anyone who's going "Holy shit how did Disney get all those cameos" I'd have to think that they probably have people lining up to GIVE them the rights or would even pay to get in the movie. It's great advertisement for any company, and in all honesty, probably functions a lot like product placement. I'd be willing to bet that the movie could bomb and they'd still be able to make a profit off of the cameos alone.
If Disney wants even more advertising, rent some Fix-It Felix Jr. machines out to some places like Chuck E. Cheeses or Dave & Busters. I'd like to try something like that out that's opposite of Rampage.

I'm not really a fan of Silverman either, but if there's one thing I've noticed, it's that animated movies have the ability to decrease the levels of annoyance from actors I hate (Miley Cyrus in Bolt, Larry the Cable Guy in Cars, etc.)
