I really hope for a full remake of this at some point now that Deathwing is out.
Despite having played this game I still burst out laughing at full auto and fuller auto
I remember getting overdosed by medkits in this game and was like, WHAT, this game was truly an memorable experience despite its flaws.

how has everybody not played this yet? it has gone for dirt cheap quite a few times.
but yeah i highly recommend playing it through at least once, it's pretty accessible as long as you're not stupid and it is a wild ride.

I remember planning out to clear each mission in a single sitting without dying because I didn't want to restart my progress. The mission with the facility loaded with turrets was ass because I tried to hack all of them.
I did and it made fighting off the waves of demons a lot easier

I started doing that, carrying shitloads of turrets around one by one to hold defense objectives then just idling as people got cut down.

I've always wanted to finish EYE, but it's on an older branch of source that has some jarring stuttering when walking. I get headaches really quick and I've never found a computer than can play it without the stuttering.
Can you modify your stats without it being considered cheating? I want to have max hacking so I can hack everything faster and have my psyclones ready in a room with me incase anyone finds out where I am
For years I used to think EYE was a fever dream I had while I was still very obsessed with HL2 mods.
Last year I discovered it was in fact not a fever dream, but a fever dream would be a lot more comprehensible. I tried to play through it but got horribly lost and the memories I have from my last playthrough are more akin to a psychedellic trip and a spiritual experience, the only thing I really understood was that I gained a lot of brouzouf

It took studying the also somewhat incomprehensible wiki and a few other ancillary things in addition to reading the in-game stuff a shitload for me to finally get a proper grasp on how everything worked. Doing that though, it became incredibly easy to just be immensely powerful and get shit quick. Unfortunately even after all this time there is still a single fucking research component that has yet to drop for me. Even after just boiling it down to just simple farming for it, I still haven't been able to get it.

I gave up trying to play this game after being endlessly sniped by enemies and getting hacked by a door
every time I try again something similarly stupid happens after I learn a little more about the game

I think I've beaten EYE 3 times and I still have no idea whats going on
Dual wielding that smg in fuller auto mode with cyber targeting enhancement active probably does the most damage in the game, especially because its accurate enough to get continuous headshots with it. Use on the cyberdemon for good results (only if you lack a bearkiller, of course)
my favorite part about these reviews is the hidden gachi
I never made the connection with the female demons and the wife subplot (even though I knew about the wife subplot)
I thought they were just meant to be lolrandum succubus enemies, but they actually have important lore significance.

i played this game for exactly 21 minutes and afterwards i could see atoms
I still remember the initial rush the game had when it first came out and a couple of people hosted servers with a crazy amount of player slots
It was one of the most collectively confusing experiences i've ever had in any game and for that it is still one of my favorites
This is like one of the most special games ever made.
It has moments of really irritating confusion with certain missions, level design and the AI shitting itself- but then it has moments of absolute brain shattering [i]brilliance[/i] that I haven't seen or felt in a game since.
One of my favorite games ever made. Best $1.50 I've ever spent.
This game is so fucking good.
